Most efficient player of all time?

Even though the GOAT, Djokovic is a player like Nadal who allow people to extend them unnecessarily; esp. going 3 or 4 sets against "no names" and "never weres!" :-D

Can Nadal or Djokovic do what Federer has done? Poll

It wouldn't have been the first time! Remember when he had multiple WD's and retirements on his way to 2016 USO final? He was a shell of himself after completing his Nole-Slam by winning FO earlier that season! I felt he was in the same trouble then against Wawrinka as he was against Daniil...

Can Nadal or Djokovic do what Federer has done? Poll

WTF is wrong with people thinking Nole's going to just drop off a cliff next season after trying and failing his CYGS? This isn't mid 2016 or '17 FFS! He's not inside some drama going on behind the scenes! He might be a little injured, but who isn't these days with how fast the game moves? :-D...

Can Nadal or Djokovic do what Federer has done? Poll

Djokovic wins 3 majors and is one match from the 4th in '21, but he's done? IDK what to say without hurting your feelings so I'll just stay MUMMMMM! o_O:happydevil::-D:unsure:

Can Nadal or Djokovic do what Federer has done? Poll

Done with what; idiotic commentary and questions about their careers? :-D

Can Nadal or Djokovic do what Federer has done? Poll

It's like it's only you and me! No one else seems to think Nole more impressive by getting to records and making them his before Fedal's 35th+ years! Whinging about him winning 2 Majors at 35 when he's gotten 3 this year alone! Really ridiculous commentary when it ocmes to Djokovic trying to...

Djokovic beat the most in form players at all four Slams

It was scary to see Nole drop that 1st set up a break! After winning the FO by defeating Nadal in the SF and surviving final against Tsitsipas, I thought there might have to be a re-balancing of "the force!" Novak might have been destined to drop this final; esp. after stealing his last one in...

Djokovic beat the most in form players at all four Slams

True enough; anything can happen on grass! Anyone can beat anyone really! Nole could have hurt himself early on when grass quite slippery! He got thru it though with little effort in the end! He did complicate his life by dropping that first set to Matteo in the Wimbledon final when up a break! :-D

Book the 2022 slam final winners......

When did Nole become the Grass King; just by defeating Federer in 3 finals now? It seemed like he wasn't challenged in W'21; esp. after Fed went down early and hard! :-D
  10. Fiero425

What year do you think all four Grand Slams were perceived to all be "worth the same?"

Well IMO it helped that Lendl and Wilander started going "down under" on a regular basis; adding Edberg to the mix and the event was "on its way" to prominence! :-D

    The wait for 21……..

The only one's truly tired of the conversation are Fedal fans! They don't want to accept a 3rd wheel has caught up and surpassed their FAVE earlier than expected! Nole's been the most complete player of this generation with all the records going his way! It's absolutely ridiculous for detractors...

    The wait for 21……..

Sounds insane to you too? There are many who think Djokovic will never win another major after this stress! :-D :-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D
  13. Fiero425

What year do you think all four Grand Slams were perceived to all be "worth the same?"

The FO was an afterthought early on in OPEN tennis with Borg making it worth a little more with his consistant winning of the event! It's been more important to clay specialist; esp. from Europe and South America! The AO has always been little more than an inconvenience; from it's location to...

Time to remove the asterisk from Thiem’s USO

Borg was the Kryptonite of Vilas! He just couldn't beat him even with a lead or Bjorn with a cold! Vilas would have won a lot more titles if not for that lone domination!

    Big 3? Who?

I hate to say it, but Novak needed Medvedev upset before that final! He was done after that SF victory over Zverev! He used up all he had left to complete this endeavor!
  16. Fiero425

Srdjan telling it like it is...

It would have to be said of Federer after he lost to Nadal in 2009 AO final! It supposedly muted Rafa's enthusiasm after he won his 1st and only title "down under!" Poor baby; both of them really!
  17. Fiero425

    Daniil

Oh now it's Novak's peak tennis after he was winning over mediocre competition! The inconsistancy is mindblowing! :-D
  18. Fiero425

Yet another proof that the NextGen is hot garbage

Looks as if it's happening at the moment! Djokovic out of sorts and doesn't look "in it" at all! Medvedev is serving well and that hurts Nole; esp. losing break opportunity down 0-40! I'd give Novak more of a chance down 0-2 in sets vs anyone but Medvedev! You have to get on top of him early and...

Western media talking only about teenage final and not CYGS

To me it only made sense because it was a done final and most news is babbling about history being made with a possible CYGS! I would definitely cut off the herd news for something new in these little girls actually making history of their own! ;)
  20. Fiero425

Medvedev is MUCH better than Djokovic in Bo5 in hot conditions

I haven't looked at the odds, but you probably won't make much taking the fave! It makes sense to bet on Daniil & hope the pressure gets to Nole as it did Serena in '15! ;)

James Blake: Big 3 are SAME GENERATION.

"ONLY?" Borg and McEnroe were supposedly rivals on par with Fedal, but they only played 14 times! What else you got? ONLY indeed! Shhhheeeessshhhh! :cautious:
  22. Fiero425

Will anyone care/remember CYGS weak field?

    Weasel, rat, snake.... :-D
  23. Fiero425

Will anyone care/remember CYGS weak field?

This is such a ridiculous thread as so many are when there's this kind of supposition! In 100 years, no one's going to be talking about the competition as weak! That's silly when IMO they're as good as any top player! They just can't take them out in important situations and of course BO5...
  24. Fiero425

James Blake: Big 3 are SAME GENERATION.

Exactly! This is why I don't give Fed that "generation" excuse because he played well too long IMO! He won 3 more majors while Djokovic was "walkabout," but IMO it wasn't worth it! I can't and won't let Fedal fans get away with making out they're from different generations when they've played...
  25. Fiero425

James Blake: Big 3 are SAME GENERATION.

That's hilarious! Novak has the body of a 12 yo boy with no real fat or muscle up top! IDK what you're talking about! He wins like BORG; more about mental fortitude! :D
  26. Fiero425

Honestly, Novak is harder to beat than ever.

Many players have outplayed Novak in spurts; esp. when you hear about him coming back from 0-2 down in multiple matches at the FO this year! It's been said, Novak hasn't really been that good all year, that his winning is more about a weak era (which is BS)! But the thing is, he FINDS A WAY! His...
  27. Fiero425

Honestly, Novak is harder to beat than ever.

You're kidding? Tell that to NG'rs out there pounding the ball as Nole retrieves and many times returns the ball with interest knocking them off their feet! :-D
  28. Fiero425

Honestly, Novak is harder to beat than ever.

Nole has to be unmotivated for the most part to even sniff a win these days! He loses smaller events, making the YEC Final again and again! It hasn't meant as much as he's lost a bunch of finals starting in 2016 against Murray! He needed that final win a couple times to retain his #1 ranking! It...

Zverev match is effectively the final for Djokovic

He's doing it right now serving for the 4th set! Been tough on Novak so far! I think he's hurting and is trying to conceal it!

Longest Rally at the USO ?

It's amazing when $#!t like that happens against Nole! Normally when in lockdown he can wait for the error, but vs him a player stays in rally for 53 strokes! Unbelievable! o_O
