Ghost is definitely there to soften up the bed up a bit. Grey Fire livens the bed up without necessarily adding stiffness.

    Emma Raducanu: 1 GS Wonder?

I think it's fairer to evaluate her in terms of potential at this moment. And in that aspect, Emma has huge potential. Breaking into the top 25 is going to afford her more opportunities and funds to acquire greater resources and invest in her future success. Therefore, the potential for her to...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I'm trying to figure out if I'm acting hastily. The first VC95 that I got and added the lead at 10/2 has been awesome for me. I have not taken static weight, balance, or SW measurements. But the plan is to drop all 3 off to my racquet tech next week to have them matched up to the first one. I...

Not to jump on the J011y bandwagon, but y'all really should try Grey Fire as a cross. It's excellent with BK and I could see it working well with a lot of others. BK/GW is really good too. It's what I currently have in the n6.1.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I'm getting the VC95s matched up and settling down with them.

Tennis Warehouse: Head Prototype 2021 Racquet

Interesting. Mine feels lighter than that. I was thinking mine might be a 295g or 285g unstrung.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

It's somehow in between a typical Wilson grip and the more rectangular Head TK57 grip. And the flare is just big enough without being obnoxious and your hand just kind of rests there perfectly. It also was so easy to reference grip positions when changing between FH and BH. I could go on and on...

    This is my Boomstick!

My first impression of it was kind of meh. Stock weight and swing weight seem pretty low and the string tension was higher than I like. With a dampener, it didn't have enough feel but when I took the dampener off if felt tinny and hollow on impact. Mods will be done after I've completed the...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

This is something I've been thinking about. I'm going to get my VC95s all matched up but I'm tempted to have new handles made because I still have those dreams about that Dunlop grip shape and butt flare.

    Lone Coach needs help

Yeah, it's a tough balancing act. What makes it harder is that if you focus on one group, the other feels neglected. So everyone has to get some attention and feedback at some point during practice. Our practice runs for about an hour and a half each day once kids get changed out, stretched...

    Is Djokovic deserving of pity?

Nope. He's a reckless, arrogant, self-aggrandizing, p****. He almost threw his racquet into a ball boy in the USO final and had a racquet smashing tantrum. I feel no pity for him at all.

With the 2018 being softer, does it still have that relatively direct feel of the 21 or is it less so?

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I pretty much have to have sunglasses when I'm on the courts. It's the result of a car accident I was involved in over 10 years ago that left me with a pretty bad case of light sensitivity. The ambient light plus the light reflecting off the courts triggers migraines and that's no fun.

Just acquired a third VC95. I should be set for a bit now. Once the last VCore 100 sells, I'm going to be keeping an eye out for a 21 VCP 97 310.

    Frames on your bucket list?

    At the moment, I'd like to have two more 2021 VCore 95, a 2021 VCore Pro 97 310, and a Regna 100.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Thanks for that. The spacing definitely seems more like the dispersion of the VCore line than the Ezone. And I definitely found the VCore to have a more easily accessible higher launch angle than the EZone. It could be, like you mentioned, that the Regna is a bit more tension sensitive.

Would you mind posting a pic of the strung frame? I'm curious how the string pattern is dispersed and if it's more along the lines of the EZone or VCore.

    Lone Coach needs help

I set up a three-station rotation yesterday and it seemed to work pretty well. They were working on serves on one court, drop hitting groundstrokes on another, and the last court was hitting with the ball machine. It let me take a step back, observe, and provide feedback when needed. And, I got...
