Norwich, Burnley, Leeds and Palace to start the season is about as easy as it gets to be fair  Then they get Brentford and Watford in 2 of the 3 next games. I do think Liverpool will be right up there, but to have matched them step for step? I'm very happy with that.

Big fan of Gary Neville, but what was he on during the first half? Sure, Spurs made it difficult with the all out press. Chelsea couldn't really play from the back, but they created one half chance for Son and Chelsea had 3 golden chances at the other end. If the Spurs first half...

This is true. Chelsea only playing top 6 calibre sides so far is very different to the mid to low table teams. Those who park the bus might be as tough to beat as the good sides. Those who say "it's too early to make predictions" might have a point

You could well be right on that. Liverpool have looked very good. Only thing i'll say about that is they've played Norwich, Burnley, Palace and Leeds (who haven't got going yet). Only good side they've played is Chelsea, and they needed a bit of luck with the penalty and red card to get back...

Yeah, there's always the danger of that with City. Even so, it's good to see them dropping a few points. Chelsea have had a brutal start (Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham, Arsenal, Villa in the first 6 games). Being in touch with City after that run would be huge.

It shouldn't phase him, I wouldn't of thought. There was talk of them taking an engine penalty in Russia any way. Maybe see how qualifying goes? Russia is a bit unique in that it's a really long run down to turn 1, very often the cars on the second row have a huge slip stream advantage...

Back in the day I had a friend who's uncle was a big F1 fan. At his funeral he wanted the old BBC F1 theme tune played (Fleetwood Mac - The Chain), so he downloaded a version off Limewire and gave the MP3 to the people who were running the funeral. Only issue was it was an actual rip from the...

Same  love a Wham Bar, even just seeing the shirt had my mouth watering. Those little sour rock things in the middle are powerful. It was either those or that weird rainbow puffy stale rice things. I can't remember what they're called, must of wiped it from my memory. I only saw the...

I was a big fan of the Leipzig kit. I suppose that's one of the advantages of being a young club, not bound by tradition. You want to rock up at the Etihad dressed like a Wham Bar? Why the hell not!

There are downsides to 90% of the people I know being Man Utd fans, but when they're losing and you can have some fun with them? That makes up for it a little :p Lukaku? He's been brilliantly anonymous. Last year's game against Villa was similar to this years, we drew it 1-1. This year? Lukaku...

Showing your tackle to Young Boys was never going to end well  I blame Solskjaer, personally. He should have played Two-Bissaka, at least if he got sent off, he'd still of had Wan spare  In other news, I know 3rd placed sides go into the Europa League. Does anyone know if the...

I was disappointed they got rid of DAS for this season. It seemed like such a simple thing that made a big difference to the tyres (tyre issues being the reason that the FIA made teams remove all the aero from the bargeboard at the rear, or was that more to punish regular rake cars like Mercedes...

Everyone seems to be saying "racing incident" or blaming Hamilton for not leaving enough space. I don't get that at all. How many times did we see that kind of scenario at turn 2 this weekend, a dozen maybe? Everyone else in Max's position either backed out, or cut the corner (I lost track of...

I've only seen the first hour of the game so far, but Man Utd look so much better. Ronaldo looks like he's lifted the entire team, anyone giving less than 110% is getting the hairdryer treatment, and then some. Either that or he's given everyone a bottle labelled "CR7's Magic Stuff", MJ in Space...

I only watched the last 10 minutes so can't really say too much. Grealish and Mount looked like they were running things. Step overs, go past one man and then pass it to each other. They did that half a dozen times in 3 minutes  Shame Foden kind of hit a wall in his development at...

I knew there was quite a bit going on in the Hungary game, didn't know there was anything at Wembley on Sunday though. You'll love it! First half an hour was about how it formed, the impact of Sky TV etc.. Second 30 mins was all about United winning the first title. Right up your street :p

What happened? Was that during the game on Sunday? Also, just seen the first 20 minutes of that new BBC documentary about the rise of the Premier League. Interesting stuff and pure 90’s nostalgia, looks promising!

I suppose it's like most teams. Under Lampard, Chelsea were conceding 2-3 a game. With the same personnel, Tuchel has got the defence to a point where it hardly ever concedes. Christensen looked like a League One player, 8 months on and you'd be hard pushed to find many playing better in Europe...

:-D he is what he is. I'm not buying all the talk of moving to Italy for a couple of years and all of a sudden he's 90's Ronaldo. The strange thing for me is how all the pundits seem to be buying into it and thinking Chelsea are favourites to beat City over 38 games off the back of it. It's...

I do get what you mean about the Man Utd midfield. I don't think Solskjaer is helping the situation though, did you see the analysis on MOTD on Sunday? Basically the plan was 4 attackers in a line, glued to the Wolves defence and they were asking the midfielders to play pin point balls through...

I can't say I know much about the intricate details regarding the financial problems of the Spanish teams, but we keep being told that Barcelona and Real Madrid are struggling. That certainly looks to be the case for Barcelona, but Madrid offering up €200 Million for a player they can get for...

Delighted about Saul. I love Kante, but he's played 2 out of the 4 games so far this season... and come off injured in both. He needs to be looked after and saved for the big games at this stage of his career. That leaves Jorginho and Kovacic for the entire season, there is no back up. Saul...

I think every team has that one referee who is perceived to be biased against them. Obviously it's not true, a couple of coincidences is usually enough for a fan base to declare the referee in question as a fan of a rival team, being paid by the mafia etc.. Anthony Taylor just happens...

I was expecting him to play yesterday actually! I thought the Liverpool high line would leave a lot of space behind, and with Lukaku drawing a lot of attention, it could have been the perfect situation for him. Fair play to Havertz though, it was another great performance from him. I'm sure...

Yeah, I think the act of swinging his knee meant the rest of his right side (arm included) was always going to follow. It was in a natural position (down by his side) and followed through in a way that you’d expect. I can certainly understand the interpretation though, and how they got to the...

Yeah, if anything the contact with the arm was worse for Chelsea. It came off the knee and went straight up, if the arm wasn't in the way it would have been an easy hoof clear. Bouncing off the arm actually sent it back into danger. Shame really, it ruined what was looking like a great game...

Totally agree. It touched the arm so a penalty is fair enough, but it bounced off the knee and onto the arm. It wasn't deliberate and it was the knee that stopped it going in, not the arm.

Ronaldo to City sounds like it's got legs. What's with Guardiola announcing he'll leave City in 2 years time? Who does he think he is  the Champions League losses over the last several years have been down to his ego, wouldn't surprise me if he's the architect of another meltdown this...

Maybe he will. Lewandowski (the better striker) plus a centre back or midfielder.. or Lukaku. Both come in at £100 Million combined. Even if Lukaku is great, it's awful business.
