ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I think it's a good move because you can control your static weight, and if @tim-ay is correct and the difference is just handle weight, then you have room to play there as well and aren't locked into what PK gives you with the 315. And it's still coming in at 6pts hl, which has me curious...

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I think I'm probably between 325-330 sw on the BA Pro, but at 330g and 6hl, man does it work. But those specs don't tell it all. How they got a 15.1 TW out of a mid-50s RA is a modern feat. I can find no compromise, so you're right. I really like it even though I can't explain why in particular.

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I did not realize it took that much weight to move balance a half cm on the handle, but that's actually good news to me because that tells me I could reshape the grip (7g on my BA Pro) and, depending on my grip of choice, have essentially the same frame, just a shade lighter than the 315, which...

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

So comparing the two Limoncellos, let's just call close enough on balance and swing weight, where are they hiding the extra 15g on the 315? Center (upper handle, throat, lower hoop)?

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

The BA Pro will likely not be unseated for me. But I have to hit the 300g espresso/Limoncello. It's close enough for a comparison. It must be done. My gut tells me the 300 is the play because I can dial it in and keep it light. I'm hitting the BA Pro at 330g and 6pts hl, and it's a dream. And...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

When I broke into the sport in '04, there was an older 3.5 who took me under his wing and hit a bunch with me. I'll never forget his black/yellow/white maraca racquet. Ironically, it was the first frame I actually paid attention to. Yep, a 5G.

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I'll send it to PP first, then, @tim-ay, and if you decide by then (who knows when that may be) you must have it, I'm sure PP can forward it on. This one was meant to by a gypsy, obviously.

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I'm told, if USPS can be trusted, that this is just the way international packages sometimes work. Multiply that by pandemic issues, and the problem is compounded. I only want to see how the frame feels/responds to know whether to purchase a Limoncello in my grip size. If it shows, I will reach...

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 (2021 model)

I really wasn't joking about the espresso offer if you can do an L2. But if you go along with this plan, the joke will admittedly be on both of us because the frame is lost, despite what USPS tells me, so this incredible deal (and it truly would be) will never happen. You in?

Can you imagine him referring to the 'Limoncello' with that Swedish accent? That would be pretty awesome, lol.

PK KI Black Ace Pro Grommets

Will TW carry these? I reached out to PK, personally, weeks ago, but nothing. Maybe your connections can uncover more information about the potential availability of these. Thanks.

No, that would be the Limoncello (see holic thread). Complaint dept.: info at prokennex dot com c/o Lorenzo (and good luck; he's ignoring my BA Pro grommet question).

ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour Pro 315 - any good? why so cheap?

Check out the 'Nerd's' brief comments on the Black Ace Pro (scroll down the pg halfway): https://tennisnerd.net/gear/racquets/racquet-reviews/prokennex-racquets-review-must-demo-if-you-have-tennis-elbow/24940 "... a far superior Pro Staff!" Even though the BA Pro is my racquet of choice, I...

I sang that tune alone for some time on the boulevard of broken dreams. My youngest son must have overheard. He took it, but it suits him a little better. Wish they made a 98" version of that in a 16x20.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

If you can wait, like indefinitely, and I do mean that in the most veritable sense of the word, I could pass along this lost espresso for little to nothing. It's two grip sizes too small, and I know after reshaping the grip on the L3 BA Pro that the espresso L2 will not work without becoming...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I still think my local postmaster's advice is hilarious: "Don't consider it lost. It's just how these international packages work." So even though it was a state up on May 30, it's been 'in transit to next facility' since. I'll pick up a second BA Pro soon and hold there until I can hit the...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

These aren't nutty frames though. It'd have to be smooth, like pistachio pudding. Limoncello captures the refinement of the frame, imo. That's my vote, but you are acting president. Btw, could you see to my grommet question about the BA Pro? Sent it to info@prokennex.com over a week ago and...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Yes, and thanks for this because it forced me to realize I mistyped. This one is hardwired not to my brain but soul. It's my racquet soulmate, as fate would have it, which explains the espresso debacle. Just wasn't meant to be. (i'm actually not a determinist/fatalist. it's just an expression...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I haven't hit the espresso. I did hit the 325 espresso and liked it more than my UPs, so I still may like it better than the BA Pro, but I'm ok with that dilemma quite honestly.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I do think the espresso will play similarly, and I'll have to hit it, but I don't expect the same dwell. And it's lost in the mail anyway, so:-D The TC95, as legendary as it was for me, can't touch the BA Pro for my game. That's another issue; for a 97, I feel like I'm getting 100"...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

For example, I get so much dwell from the BA Pro it's almost like the ball sticks to the frame, so instead of trying to hit a spec of dust on the court last night, if I got pushed out wide and the opponent was deep (I was deuce side), I could carve the ball high in the vicinity of the single's...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

And I'll depart with this: the BA Pro. Man, I had low expectations for it, but it is THE one for me. I haven't played a lot of tennis lately, but after semicompetitive doubles last night, I can confirm that this thing is the proverbial extension. That term gets thrown around a lot, and I've...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

You have a coach, correct? I bet if you and he commit to a SW grip change and a one month focus on better spin production, you'd have a new world opened to you. I hit a SW forehand grip, and I can drive the ball, loop the ball, carve the ball, and the best part is when you get it, your flatter...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Mine is in the mail, to be delivered any day. It's been 'in transit to the next facility' since May 30. USPS has botched what should have been the most generous racquet gift/transaction ever. I've followed up twice, and they distract me with red herrings. If I demo it, I'll almost pay as much as...

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

That's still well within almost any manufacturer's tolerances though. For Wilson, it's remarkably good. My two are only a few grams apart and identical for balance. I don't know the swing weights, but one does seem to have more hoop weight. The interesting thing is that I prefer the swing feel...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

The Touch PP felt harsher than 63RA to me. Could be the frame unless you're diming the sweet spot every time. I'm liking the Black Ace Pro a lot but still have my UPs. Want to give them one last run with a gut/poly. They keep confusing me: win me over one week and abandon me the next. Surely...
