New TW Website? Unimpressed so far

The string comparison function that is available within the review needs some attention. The last few days its been unavailable (Firefox wouldn't open it because it wasn't considered 'safe') and today I'm seeing it show up on some reviews (but is either non-functioning or incomplete) but not on...

Hi Mike, Unfortunately, there was no info about the string or tension when I bought it. I didn't hit with it myself so I can only estimate it was synthetic gut at 50lbs but that's just a hunch. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Mike that covers things, thanks so much. Just let me know how it plays when you get the chance. I'm more of an OS player these days but it did feel good in the hand. Cheers, Andrew

Hi Mike, It was just lucky that I still had one of the Tennis Only boxes. No idea why I'd kept it, but glad I did. Also lucky that the racquet came with a well-padded bag. Not many do these days. Usually its either a waifer thin bag or nothing at all. Yes, it would just be in Australian...

Regarding the gift voucher, if it's not too late do you think you could purchase it from Tennis Only rather than Tennis Warehouse. Tennis Only is TW's outlet here in Australia (the box came from them) and it would mean I can buy something and not worry about shipping. Let me know if that's okay...

Hi Mike, I'm glad to hear it arrived and that you're happy with it. I did try to box it up with as much extra padding as I could find. You'll notice very liberal use of shopping bags from our local supermarkets and a few extra slices of cardboard from a slab of beer (thought you might like to...

Hi Mike, I've just received a notification that the racquet has arrived in the United States and is with customs. Once it clears that point it'll go to the local carrier. Cheers, Andrew

However, our dollar has dropped 5 cents in the last week thanks to Covid outbreaks. By the time the racquet gets to you (and I dont want payment until it does), it will probably have dropped even further. Tracking number is EJS79730083AU Apparently, I'll also get notification sent to me email...

Mike, The racquet was handed over to the Post Office at midday. Insurance was added and I did opt for Express post as it gives greater protection for the racquet. The total cost of postage was $68.80 plus $35 for the racquet. Round that down to an even $100. At today's exchange rate that's $71USD.

Mike, I'll try to get this sent off on Monday. Will make sure insurance is added. It was only about $4 so not a big amount. I'll package it in a Tennis Only box (they're the Australian outlet for Tennis Warehouse) and I'm looking for some wrap to give it added protection. I'll make sure it's...

Mike, Well it's yours if you like and be happy to send it on. If you like, I can package it up and send it off next Monday. TW gift cards would be the easiest for everyone I think.

Hi Mike, I was able to go to the post office today and get some prices for postage. Postage would be roughly $60-$70Aus depending on inclusion of insurance ($4) and express option ($5). According to today's conversion rates that's $45-$51US.

New TW Website? Unimpressed so far

We read left to right and that's the most logical way to set out your information. On a tablet, with less side-to-side real estate it can help to have things more top-to-bottom. However, when you've got a bigger monitor it's more of a nuisance and the excess white space at the sides is...

We actually showed it to our IT students last night when teaching user experience design. Made for a very interesting example of a misstep

    Völkl C10 Pro Club!

I changed my settings and think you can send me a private message now, if you like. I can then send some pics of the racquet although I probably won't get to that until the weekend as we've just started Week 1 of semester and I'm already snowed under.

Rackets used by pro's from mid 80's to late 90's

That brand is 'Stellar'. Very big here in Australia in the 70s and 80s. Pat Cash used one as a junior and when he first turned pro (Stellar Centre Court - conventional size wood) and Provis used the one in your picture when she got to the French Open semis in 88 (and Wimbledon Mixed Final in 87...

Rackets used by pro's from mid 80's to late 90's

That's the Sfida logo on a Snauwaert Hi-Ten 50. Woodforde did sign with Sfida and they developed a racquet for him to use (widebody - could be strung using either extreme open pattern or conventional) but he quickly went back to the Hi-Ten 50. The Sfida was okay but really nothing like the...

Prince Original Graphite 125: does anyone have the stringing instructions/pattern?

Hi all and thanks so much for the information. Atatu, that's a fair question. However, as esgee48 said, I can't be entirely sure that it was strung correctly. It might be, but I wanted a bit more certainty. Also, when I do take it in for a restring I'd like to be able to check it against the...

Prince Original Graphite 125: does anyone have the stringing instructions/pattern?

Pretty much as the title says. I've been hitting with this racquet (bought two in excellent condition for very little) over the last couple of months and its nearing time for a restring. However, I can't locate the stringing pattern and would like to have that on hand when I take it in to the...

most toe room in a light high quality tennis shoe

Tennis MD, I have a similar need for room in the toe box and agree that the Adidas Ubersonic isn't a bad option. It rides low, has room where you need it and is breathable. I have some reservations about its ankle support but in all other areas it does the job. Regarding New Balance, if you're...

TW: question about the upcoming POG OS and a question for Michelle or Troy regarding Prince footwear

Michelle, Thanks very much. I haven't used the T22 before so I don't know what the fit is like. Do you know if it is the same as the NFS line of shoes. In essence, I think NFS is wider in the toebox and narrower in the heel - which mirrors the natural shape of a foot. You've got the T22 Mid...

Does anyone know specs on original bumperless no grommet version of the POG OS

I was just thinking the same thing today when I was looking at my bumpless/grommetless POG OS and 3 stripe version. Didn't bother to measure it but there is a noticeable difference in thickness which might account for the flexier feel of the original version. Either way I do prefer it. Although...

TW: question about the upcoming POG OS and a question for Michelle or Troy regarding Prince footwear

Hi, Just wondering if you know when the specs for the upcoming POG OS will be released. I did hear on one of the latest podcasts some information about the weight and was wondering you knew the balance and swingweight. Also, on the same podcast Michelle and Troy mentioned Prince shoes...
