Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

I certainly have never given a death threat like your idol Sorena. Do better and have some standards rather than make excuses. Thankfully she is almost done and we won't have to watch her jiggling around the court with her flab hanging out for much longer or tolerate her abuse.

Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

Sad to see so many support a player who has threatened to kill an official on the court. We as fans should have higher standards.

Federer is the greatest sportsman I ever saw

I too have been impressed by his sportsmanship. It was highly impressive the way he abused officials in his QF match last week, especially women. Then he was so clever to lie about his use of profanity even when it could be clearly heard by all. There is also his outburst in Shanghai. What a...

Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

If we get more slam finals like the last 4-5, I am okay with these "granddaddies" continuing to win.

Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

"Three grandaddies" lol. Yes, 33 YO Rafa and 32 Djoker are so over the hill, as opposed to 37 YO Serena going deep in tournaments after playing no warm ups. Embarrassing.

Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

I doubt Rafa would be against calling a loudmouth a loudmouth. She is bad for tennis unless you think becoming more vulgar is honoring the sport.

Wilander: "Djokovic can win 25 Grand Slam titles"

The only conclusion here is that Wil is on drugs. To think he can win 8 more slams after age 33 is insane.

    Serena's "consistency"

"lean" Is this like "curvy" now?
  9. 40-15_forever

Will Serena reach any slam finals or win a slam this year

I pray not. Hopefully this will be her last year so we do not have to endure more of her antics. Tennis will be much better when her fans inevitably stop caring about tennis after she retires. Having less empty barrels around is always better!

    I love Tennis Channel

Tennis Channel or Coco and Serena Channel? Everything now seems to be about those two.

Who has defeated more pigeons to win their grand slams? Federer or Nadal?

LOL. All 12 RG? Once again Nadal's achievements on clay are underrated because he is so far ahead of the field.
  12. 40-15_forever

    Where is Federer right now?

We will never let him forget!

Rafa is interesting with back against the wall

I can celebrate a great moment of tennis even if not created by Nadal.

The rules of the ATP finals are completely unfair

Glorified exhibition is right. The fact that it is worth 1500 points is a joke. Rankings should be based solely on the regular season results and the head to head versus the larger field.

    Typical Nadal

Disagree. I laughed after WB seeing poor loser Fred ready to explode. The crowd is lucky he showed more restraint than he did in Shanghai. Otherwise they could have been injured.
  16. 40-15_forever

If 40-15 had happened against Nadal, is the narrative the same?

Absolutely a choke job. Once he lost his serve in WB this year during the critical game in the last set, he was so tense I am surprised he could move at all! Then we saw the return of Frederror.
  17. 40-15_forever

If 40-15 had happened against Nadal, is the narrative the same?

The problem is that it happened three times. Once is a shame and twice is unfortunate, but three times to the "GOAT" of tennis is shockingly bad.
  18. 40-15_forever

    Typical Nadal

A great lie told by Nadal haters to make it seem as if Nadal fans deny Rafa has been beaten when healthy. Trying to put his wins/losses in context is not denying that he has played bad matches.
  19. 40-15_forever

    Typical Nadal

They are growing increasingly desperate as Fred's legacy is undone.

Rafa is interesting with back against the wall

Rafa has the spirit of a great dragon. His body may give out but his heart never will!

Federer and life after the retreat

    A trilogy of greatness!

Federer and life after the retreat

My thought as well. There is no way he will coach at the RN academy. This is a statement made solely to generate headlines for Fred. Cannot let Med or other players have the spotlight for too long!

Fred confirms he will play Roland Garros in 2020

The legend of straight set losses on clay. At least Fred is no longer cowardly trying to limit the head-to-head gap between Rafa and him, but it is sad to see him so desperate to maintain his position. I suspect we will get more of the out of control Fred we saw in Shanghai hurling abuse and...

Which of these two incredible records will be broken first?

People also underestimate the longevity required to win 20 GS or more. You need to be healthy and in top form for well over a decade, and that is easier said than done. Injuries are always going to happen. If you are fortunate you maybe lose a couple tournaments or a year, but as we have seen...

Naomi Osaka choose Japanese citizenship in front of the Tokyo Olympics

Her parents are not from America, and she was not born here. She also seems to be a better fit with Japan culturally. I have no problem with her choosing Japan. This is not the same thing as being a mercenary.

Poll: Replace Shanghai or Paris with a first grass M1000 in Halle or Queens?

A ridiculous statement. The very surface that tennis began on is "obsolete" if by that you mean modern players are lazy and lack enough variety in their game to compete across all surfaces. They don't want a challenge; they want to be able to ball bash and ace their way through tournaments. If...

Who is the most *under*rated OE ATG (Big 3 not included)?

I actually think Borg was underrated if anything, but that may be because I am biased and value success on clay and grass more than success on hard courts.

Who is the most *under*rated OE ATG (Big 3 not included)?

Nothing I have ever seen or read concerning Agassi impresses me. Becker is not much better. Some success early but not much to show for his prime years (only one slam after 24).
