Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

You don’t get it. It’s ok. Move on.

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

As soon as you made your thesis that Nadal is the best volleyer amongst the big 3 because he has the best winning percentage at the net…you lost the argument right then and there, before it ever got started. That thesis doesn’t hold water at all for the countless reasons already stated. So you...

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Ok. Is that not the same as the above? LOL. Probably. :-D Perhaps. :-D LMAO. Sorry to tell ya sport, but it’s you who doesn’t get it, not us. And at this point it’s pretty clear you’re never going to get it.

    What grip for dry hands

Tourna grip has a very slight tack to it at the start. But it’s nowhere near Wilson pro or the others. Just enough to hold on, not enough to be sticky.

    What grip for dry hands

Description sounds similar to my wife’s situation - dry hands, and she didn’t like the tacky feel of traditional overgrips. She switched over to Tournagrip (original) years ago. She now uses it year round. And since she barely sweats, she gets a fair bit of life out of it before it needs changing.

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Look, winning % at the net is misleading in this argument because of the variances in how and when a player chooses to go to the net. Federer, especially later in his career, was extremely aggressive with going to net. Nadal, OTOH, picks his spots a lot more. So of course Nadal has a higher...

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Your justification for superiority in that one shot is to point at a statistic that is influenced by a lot more than just that one shot.

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

By the same token, winning a point at the net isn’t solely about one’s volleys. Get it now? Nadal has tinkered a lot with the serve over the years. He’s always been clutch with it on big points. But he was also very predictable - until Moya convinced him he needed to mix it up more. For me...

    Tiafoe’s shorts…

No argument here that 70’s, 80’s were shorter. I just thought this particular short was shorter than previous kits. Anyway.

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

I do? Maybe you do. I realize there’s a fair bit of theatre going on when the announcers are carrying on about this player or that. Apparently you take everything they say at face value. You said “best volleyer of the big 3.” You didn’t say “best winning % at the net of the big 3.” Two...

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Comical. Again, points won at the net is not indicative of being “the best volleyer of the big 3.” Federer is far and away the best volleyer of the big 3 (it’s not even close). Anyone who claims otherwise is blind, taking drugs, or both. Now Nadal may have the best % of points won at the net...

Yeah too soft for 3.5’s who hit the ball harder than ATP pros…

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Success rate at net is not necessarily indicative of “best volleyer of the big 3.”

Does Murray have the ugliest game ever among ATGs?

Agreed. Also… The grip Nadal uses for BH slice is a lot closer to eastern forehand than it is continental, causing the racquet face to be extremely open during the swing. It works for him, and it’s obviously effective. But nothing in the realm of “textbook.”

    Tiafoe’s shorts…

LOL not to my knowledge. Maybe he should. Massive goof on my part to have posted it here. Oops.

    Tiafoe’s shorts…

LOL how the heck did I manage to post this here? Anyway. Man I thought tight, short shorts were done in the 80’s. I guess I’m so old now that they are back in style. Lol.

Deserving players who never won slam

Tommy Haas. Marcelo Rios. Not sure how deserving he was, so much as he might have done more if he wasn’t such a lunatic.

How should I handle this cheating?

The right thing to do is probably politely explain to you opponent that doing what he was doing is against the code. But that rarely works for me. (Maybe I am not polite enough)? I have better success imitating (and exaggerating) their behavior. See here:

    Toughest Racket You String?

Oh Jesus. Yes. Those are a real treat. LOL Edit: I’m reminded of the also hilarious Sledge Hammer “Outer Limits.” It’s not that difficult to string I suppose. Unless, you’re an idiot like I was on that day early on in my retail career…not realizing more than 40’ of string was required. Then...

    Toughest Racket You String?

Yeah that’s exactly what I was talking about, but even worse with that nonsense with the crosses. Any of my potential customers would be well advised to take that POS somewhere else, b/c if you bring it to me…it’s going to go where it belongs - in the nearest trash receptacle.

    Toughest Racket You String?

Oh def not it then. Five BLX not 35 years old obviously. Maybe some of the more (cough, ahem) experienced stringers would have a better idea of what it might have been.

    Toughest Racket You String?

@LOBALOT I think I know what you mean. At least one earlier iteration of the Wilson Five BLX had those port-ish openings on the sides of the hoop, with the grommet hole buried inside the center. Wilson also made some squash racquets like that. They are also quite a joy to work on. Edit: like this?
