Babolat Aeropro Drive Orginal - a classic? too soon?

I'm wondering if the Babolat Aeropro Drive original would be considered a classic racket. It's been out of production for about 5 years. It has a rather significant pro player association, Nadal still uses the original (started at the beginning of 2004). Post-2007 pj'd, but clearly not the...

Hip to be square: "R" you ready? Yonex R Series...

Seems this was a pivotal time for Yonex tennis as the "isometric" square head shape has been used by them since the design of these frames. I guess it harkens back the the old flat-top and semi-flat top frames from the early 1990s. According to the Yonex page on Wikipedia, the 80's era were...

I'm curious to see what the 2011 season of the Inside Out Champions Series Tennis is going to be like with a condensed one-night three match format..... I wonder if this format shuts out the "other guys" the non-major champions who were top-fivers or singles players on Davis Cup teams (i.e...

It's true, you eat what you kill and it's hard to stay on top...

Juan Martin del Potro drops 224 spots in the rankings this week. I've heard it said that "you eat what you kill" and "it's hard to get to the top, but even harder to stay there" from several pros, mostly veterans that have lived with this reality. I think this is what I like about the sport. I...

Serena Williams used a single prototype to win the AO 2007?

From Jon Wertheim's mailbag.... Interesting take.....I suppose that prototype went on to be the Wilson kBlade Team? It reminds me of Nikolai Davydenko winning Miami a few years back when he used one prototype frame to win the tournament.
