New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I can tell you as someone that has suffered from wrist pain that crushing the ball with the new vc98 gives me confidence where as the older one, while not being an uncomfortable frame, I would feel the vibrations and eventually would pull back from hitting the ball as hard. It took me a few...

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I mean the 18 version. Originally back when it came out in his original review. He said it lacked stability and weight and that there were better 95s out there. To me thats knocking the racket.

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I tried the SV95 and wanted to like it but it was brassy, hollow feeling and unforgiving outside the sweet spot. The 2018 VC95 is really comfortable and the flex is not to everyone's taste. I didn't mind it really, I've tried so many rackets that I can pretty much play with anything. I didn't...

    Tennis Warehouse: Yonex VCORE 95, 98, 100 2021 Playtest

Confirming the ball pocketing aspect on the 98, just a tad more powerful or maybe its the feeling because its more stable. Serves better than the previous version, serious bombs. My mods are 2 grams each at 3 and 9 and 5 grams in the butt cap same as my previous vcore98. Definitely an...

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

Played today with the 98. To me it feels like the previous version but not as direct, like everyone is saying it pockets the ball a bit better and its noticeably more comfortable. Nasty wind today so couldn't really play properly. Lets see tomorrow.

    Yonex VCORE series 2018

Same here, I've got my new 98 couple. I suspect I'll switch regardless as I don't mind the muted feel at all, in fact i prefer it as i have struggled with wrist issues.

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

Anything similar to solinco tour bite soft 1.20 but in blue or orange? Getting my 98s on Monday

Any members' review of the 98?

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

If I played on hard courts I would go for the 95 but on clay the 98 is the winner for me mainly due to the long rallies, dealing with heavy spin and forgiveness. Same thing as the previous version, I switched from the 95 to the 98 and sure I miss the feel but I play better with the 98. They...

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

I really like Karue Sell's videos on My Tennis HQ. I think that in terms of comparison between the older version and the new VCOREs you can't get anything better at this moment. Totally sold on the 98.

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

Tennis Spin short review of the new 98 Ticks all the boxes for me. As much as I'd like the 95, the 98 is just an easier stick to play with.

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

Hi, can you compare power, comfort and control between the old and new 98? Thanks

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

How does the new vcore 98 compare to the previous vcore red/galaxy 98? Thank you

New Yonex Vcore (for 2020 or 2021 ?)

Not too sold on the beam width of the 98, will probably just stick to the galaxy 98... Plays great with tour bite soft and is at a level of comfort my wrist can handle... The 95 on the other hand, if it is a bit more powerful than the previous version while keeping the same feeling it could well...

    VCore 95 launch angle vs Blade 98 V7 16x19

I was doing babolat tonic+ on the mains at 52 and yonex poly tour pro 120 on the cross at 50. Once i decided i was good to go back to poly again i went to try tour bite soft 120, which i liked and didn't give me any pain on the 95 for a long time but since switching to the 98 i do feel it. I...

    VCore 95 launch angle vs Blade 98 V7 16x19

I find the launch angle in the vc95 higher than the Blade v7 16x19, it is a modern 95. If you have hand/wrist/elbow issues definately the VC95 will fit the bill with a hybrid or even a soft poly. I was on that same boat and that allowed me to keep playing. You'll probably find that the vc95...

    Soft & control oriented polys

Thanks for the advise. I'll try that along with Velocity. Was thinking of Yonex PTP 1.25 on the cross too as its as soft as TBS according to the data.

    Soft & control oriented polys

Hi, thanks for your reply but I cannot find tier one in Europe. I might look into multifeel or velocity although I'm wary that combined with the vcore 98 it might lead to uncontrollable power.

    Soft & control oriented polys

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm in the bandwagon of looking for something softer but control orientated. I recently switched to the Yonex vcore 98 from a Yonex vcore 95. On my 95 I used to play a gut/poly hybrid, mainly because I had wrist troubles, then decided to try Tour Bite Soft 1.20 and...

    The Yonex VCORE 98 fanclub

More powerful than a Blade, and ezone, less powerful than a clash, PA and PD. To me just about perfect on the power front. I'm playing it with tour bite soft at 22kg. I went UT>vcore95>vcore98. The 95 was perfect for transitioning from low to mid/high power. I still have my vcore95s though as I...

    Best Wilson racquets to try?

Still Blading @FiReFTW ? I gave up after a month and a half of hitting late and confidence dropping. Upgraded my Yonex vcore95 to a vcore98 and couldn't be happier.

To Brittany: Ezone's versus Vcore Pro's

Its the vcore 98 and 100 limited edition, so no new vcore.

Theatrics like Novak getting treatment for the shoulder. Must be a close one for that Oscar.

Best way to play a defensive counterpuncher?

Don't rely on your serve, play a match against him trying not to, just finding placement and focus more on your rally patterns. You just have to grind it and reduce your errors and focus on the next point.
