Can we agree now that Nadal is way past his prime?

agree that both fed and nadal don't move as well as they did a decade ago. we get less jaw dropping balletic shots nowadays. but i think they'er both better, more effective players now. they have less holes in their games. fed's strokes are flatter, deeper and heavier. his backhand is less of a...

    2019 Wimbledon - Women's Singles - General Discussion

too bad about the deletion of the thread. tough position. some comments about movement and fitness perhaps are poorly worded and come off more malignant and toxic than intended. anyways, we live and we learn. hope we get a good final tomorrow.

Kyrgios on attempting to hit Nadal

Body shots would make tennis more interesting, tbh. They are athletes and entertainers. It is a game with a felt ball. If players are gonna drive for a shot, they might as well take the occasional body shot if they're unlucky and unprepared.

seems like a harsh response to OP. I didn't see any self-promoting links. English also seems to be a second language and a factor.

Should I buy a ball machine?

i used to own a really nice tennis tutor ball machine. sold it i recommend against ball machines. way too easy to learn and reinforce bad technique. save the dough for lessons and just practice against a wall.

Coach wants me (3.5) to switch to WTA forehand

your fh looks pretty good already in my opinion. arm and wrist seems appropriately loose. you could probably extend out towards your target a little more; currently you sweep across your body a little prematurely imo. but i think you have a great foundation to your fh. i wouldn't make any...

The Shape Of Things To Come: Denis Shapovalov!

a coach would have told him not to cut his hair it's well known that samson was a Nazirite tennis prodigy before his curls were lopped off at least this all gives you an appreciation of the high level of the game when someone as talented as denis is losing so much.

    Women's World Cup 2019

i'm discovering that i enjoy watching women's soccer SOO much more than men's. they're less theatrical with all the flopping and overall less violent. it's annoying to watch these grown men who are paid hundreds of millions whine and fake and showboat. with women's soccer it's just soccer and...

What is the best non-cable tv option?

another vote for youtube tv here. crazy easy to auto download stuff to its cloud. especially nice with tennis matches to zip through commercials the next day. price is not cheap but is cheaper than cable. some programs are lower video quality than cable (ie: nba finals) but most stuff is on...

2019 Roland Garros Semifinal: Nadal (2) vs Federer (3)

that's what i think he'd do as well. the point is that rafa wouldn't vaporize it. and hitting an acute angle from that high up is extremely difficult. i think the moonball to the rafa bh should be including in the fed's bag of tricks for tomorrow.

I wont survive: Roger vs Rafa

    "Poor tactics"

I was one of the people that called him stubborn. I would have recommended that fed throw in more down the line slices to stan's forehand, short angles and drop shots; even moony junkballs. Anything to throw Stan out of his monstrous groove which seemed to be on for the 45min of the match that I...

    Roland Garros 2019 4th Round (1)Novak Djokovic v Jan-Lennard Struff

agree struff is playing with a lot more consistency and endurance recently unlikely that he can maintain the intensity required to beat novak, but he has the power and the (newly honed) ability to finish things off at net that could make this entertaining
