Silver 7 Tour user tries Black 7

thanks for the info. You're the one who made me discover S7T (Tourna strings are unknown in Europe, or at least in France where I live) It's now my main string for the past 2y, so I think I'll order some Black 7 to try !

Stich, Agassi, Krajcek and Ivanisevic at Wimbledon

The sentimental ranking would put Goran on top of the ranking. Rarely a win meant so much to a player. Agassi is also a remarkable one as it was totally inconceivable that a baseline player could compete with the grass specialist. As a young teenager this achievement impacted me a lot as it...

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Henri is a national treasure here in France. Born in the 80’s, Goran is a personal fan favorite. But anyways I already have their magic stick, the mighty prestige classic !!

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I've found one for less than 100€ with little use, I think I'll follow Jolly's way and go for it !

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I tried Touch Prestige Pro and didn't think it was special at all. Too muted, not very quick for a small head size and lacking power. I still got the itch to try the 360+ mid. How would you compare them ?

He’s too lazy and fat to play on clay

    The Official Angell Users Club

For sure !! But more than other frames, I’ve found Tc95 to particularly shine when hitting agressive and confident, or to say it different, it sucks when hitting with the brake on

In order to not get bullied by TC95 very open 16x19, you really need to swing hard. Then you can flatten any shots, slice, have good precision overall. But if you are lazy or hesitant, balls might start flying. I experienced it again this week: had a very tense match and I was reducing my swing...

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

I agree on the expensive strings, it’s useless for us rec players to pay the luxilon price tag. However a bit of durability/playability is needed for improving, being able to hit with a stable setup for more than 2-3h. I don’t know their SG so maybe the difference with other brands is not as big...

Can someone help me identify when aggasi used this stick?

It’s a great find. So cool to own a prototype frame

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

And I’m my own stringer so I don’t mind stringing more often if performance is good but it doesn’t imho

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

Pro’s pro strings are quite disappointing. I don’t know why people keep buying those when there are sub 100$ options with way better overall quality. I tried blackout, stratagem, cyber power and find them all very average. Blackout was the best but too mushy and durability is a joke

Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

Currently playing with S7T mains and Ghostwire crosses. Great comfort, a bit more power, good control and same spin. Very good hybrid !

What order do you rank Lendl, McEnroe, Connors, Agassi in as far as greatness

On terms of dominance, Lendl, Connors and Mac are quite even. They all were superb in their prime. I’m surprised a lot of people put Mac behind those two. Not so long ago I rewatched the infamous FO final against Lendl and he should have won. he was unstoppable for the first 3 sets as he played...

    Weakest ITF tourneys???

Well a sport where less than 1% of the pros can earn a living would always be a “rich kid sport” as you need to have a strong financial support to start and endure the long journey to the top. In football/soccer in Europe, players get paid well enough before turning pro, so when they turn 18...

Did anyone foresee what would happen to Osaka at the beginning of the year?

She’s a joke and a disgrace to all the people actually struggling with mental illness. Doing all these PR things like the MET Gala while being « depressed » is insulting. Anxiety, depression are only words for her but it’s a reality on an everyday basis for a lot of people. I can’t even...

I can’t find a racquet or setup that I like that also suits my arm

First thing is to use a thinner gauge if you want to keep the same poly string as previous poster said. I did that on my very low powered prestige mp and it was a very good mix. Regarding racquets, I’ve found Angell make the most user friendly and comfortable frame while retaining a crisp feel...

    New Angell K7!!!

K7 red is a feel/control type of racquet, so SW is low. Regarding lead customization, I put 2g @ 10 and 2g @ 2. you get more SW than 3/9 but still benefiting from the added stability that you won't get from 12. I don't counterbalance in the buttcap untiI I've played the frame and see if it's too...

    New Angell K7!!!

Usually Angell raqcuets are very close to the stated specs. So do yours. Strung and unstrung SW differential makes sense (+34), but not so much the one from @AMGF . Mine is in the 330 area with leather grip and lead in the hoop. I've not measured it with a proper RDC machine, only with the SW...

How should I handle this cheating?

You should ask him to not do it as it is bothering you, so you know if it’s intentional or not. If he keeps repeating it, go to an official or leave the court if it’s social play. Recently I had to deal with a guy calling foot fault on most of my serves (on a clay court with blurred lines so it...

First 'real' (non-club) league match today

I think that at your level you should be using a more user friendly frame. RF97 or even PS97 are for advanced players and require proper technique. A 100sq / 300g could be more useful imho

Hewitt, Kafelnikov, and Roddick- who is the best

3 great players, with very different styles and personalities. I vote for kafelnikov because that’s the one I’ll be happy to pay to watch him play again. Very classic Russian/Eastern Europe style, great FH, solid 2HBH, very consistent all around player (see his double record). I disliked Hewitt...

    Has the Pure Drive become…Taboo??

I have several friends who play with PD. They never cared to try something else. My guess is if your arm can handle it, it’s a hell of a racquet. Personally pure aero destroyed my shoulder so I stay away from stiff frames, but I can see why it’s so popular among top players.

    The Official Angell Users Club

You definitely need a lot of patience at first with block holes in Angell frames. It can get to a point of testing your will to still play with them :-D. I might suggest a very easy tip that helped me significantly : make sure the edge of the string you're trying to get through the block...
