    Pat McEnroe racket ?????

Woodforde won the Senior Wimbledon Doubles in 2013 and 2016, I can't find any pictures from those two events but the time frame suggests he may have been using it in one or both tournaments.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I like the feel of a Volkl 4 1/4, stock Volkl synthetic grip, with a Wilson Pro Overgrip - will the PK 4 1/4 feel larger than that with the Wilson OG? I'm so used to that OG feel I don't think I can go without it.

Tennis Science Chat with Crawford & the Wolfeman Part 1: discussion of feel & touch when it comes to racquets & strings

Any scientific basis for any of the handle vibration dampening systems (do it yourself silicone/bluetac addition, Yonex mesh, PK Kinetic, Volkl Dual-Dampening), or is it just the extra weight itself rather than the specific technology that would help in the collision with the ball?

When this thread was resurrected by Ross, it seemed all we could hope for was like a reunion of a 90's tv comedy - an epilogue of a great original that would produce a wry smile. Instead, it has become a full reboot, funnier, hipper, more informative, and sexier than the original. Well played...

    Swiatek...countdown to racquet change

This equipment change could easily cause a nervous reaction in a player who has a full time sports psychologist on the team because finding a quiet mind on the court had been tough for her prior to last fall. This change could potentially cost her millions of dollars in prize money, far more...

    Swiatek...countdown to racquet change

Her average groundstroke speed and spin rate went down- I wish they had given the Hawkeye data, at the French she was hitting a faster and spinnier rally ball than all the women and some of the men...

    Tennis Warehouse: Yonex VCORE 95, 98, 100 2021 Playtest

Congratulations to all selected! I really enjoyed the Tecnifibre TFight 295 RS test I was on, at first I thought it might be difficult to organize my thoughts in the review format, since I'm more of a holistic, impressionistic type of personality but once I worked on it I found it to be useful...

    Volkl V1 Stiffness

The 2004 10 year anniversary was the first version of the Classic I hit with - it was better than the one issued about 2014, comfortable and controllable power. That said, the circa 2014 wasn't bad. I haven't hit the current issue. I played with the V-Sense V1 MP for a couple of years, and echo...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Bought one and strung with Cyclone 18 @ 50, it is indeed wonderful. Thankful to Tecnifibre and TW for the playtest on the new 295RS, but this is far better in terms of power, control, stability and comfort. Normally, if at least part of the beam isn't 26mm or higher like it is on my Volkl V-1s...

    Iga Swiatek - Prince racquet

I phrased that carelessly, good catch - toward the end of her career, she returned to the PD, which was blacked out but carried the Srixon stencil - even that would be a copyright infringement if the company didn't have permission. Check out moon shot's post on this page...

    Iga Swiatek - Prince racquet

Head had an arrangement with Dunlop, I don't know whether it was money or a "we'll do the same thing for you if the situation arises". Srixon had the same thing with Babolat, again I don't know the compensation, when the Pure Drive Lite Pro Stock Radwanska was using was painted as a Srixon Revo...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

I like the same tension in the mains and crosses, but if I went with a difference, I would increase the mains, not the crosses, by 1 kilo. Increasing the crosses to me causes a boardy, very stiff feel. If I were stringing for my taste, I would use 22.5 kilos for both mains and crosses.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

I felt this way as well - for matches, I've always played with tweeners. The 295 didn't allow me to play my best, and it certainly doesn't have the buttery feel of a Pro Tour 2.0 or EXO3 Tour 100 that I like to hit for fun. It won't convert any tweener players, but for those who prefer a crisp...

Wilson 100 Ultra V3 vs Technifibre 295 RSL

I was on the 295 RSL playtest, and it's a nice, stiff, light players' frame. If you want a crisp, light control racket in the 312g range, it's a good choice. I haven't hit the v3, but didn't like either of the first two versions of the Ultra - the Head Extreme and Yonex Ezone 100 to me are much...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

Is it the static weight or the balance that's off? It shouldn't feel stiffer than the 295 since the 300 has foam, but what should be isn't always so.

At age 58 it’s time for a new generation player frame: Follow My Saga Here

Do I remember correctly you once extended a Microgel Radical OS? The Agassi 25th edition is actually the TiRadical mold, and doesn't play with all the flex of Andre's real frame. It measured 62 but felt more like 65 RDC to me. Sweet 12 oz oversize frame. Downside is, only available on secondary...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

Not him, but I also participated in the 295 test. The 295 has more comfort, spin, and power than any generation of the Pure Strike 100.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

jangotango is spot on with his references - to me, TF walked a tightrope here and they have a stiff, 100 inch light players' frame that is comfortable. It plays like this frame https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/reviews/SPBSMU/SPBSMUreview.html at less weight and SW. It does not get that hollow...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Tecnifibre TFight 295/300/305

2003 was my peak of playing with heavier rackets and also doing extensive modifications. Now, I play my best with the Volkl V1s at about 315g, and I am also lazier! I agree, about 335g once you got your preferred balance for it dialed in, would be a good weight for the 295.

Thanks to TW and Tecnifibre for being able to participate in this playtest. Racquet Received: Tecnifibre TFight 295 String and tension used for test: Black Code 1.18 @50 pounds. Which Pure Drive was the good one?

I have usually heard the Swirly and Team versions are the same racket with different cosmetics, but I never hit the Swirly. Did you hit both and find them the same? I have hit all since the Team, and the Team is first and 2015 second for me.

i am demoing the 2021 pure drive

Pure Drive Team was first I hit, and to me easily better than any PD that followed. Should never have sold it. That said, I liked the 2015 PD even though it felt a little hollow. To me, this newest version is even worse than the Smurf - less power, less stability. Two worst versions ever...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

They're both too much racket for me to use in a match, but if you like the RF97 with Hyper-G @ 57, I'd try that string and tension in the UT and see if that tames the launch angle. The heavy, stiff frame that is the RF97 is unique in feel and performance when you can wield it

    Tecnifibre T-Fight RS (2020)

Agreed. the 295 is 70, mine strung with Black code @ 50, and a crisp but comfortable hit. Full review to follow in the thread on the playtest.

i am demoing the 2021 pure drive

It's nice to get these demos with plastic on the handle. Looking forward to trying it Saturday and Sunday. I've hit a lot of Babs, and this is the first one I've thought their 1/4 felt like a Wilson 1/4. I would go with a 1/4 this time instead of my usual for the brand 1/8 if I get one.
