    Alu power 1.15 any good?

I expect a short duration, which is fine as I string my own. But is the magic few hours in this string? My BP has a 344 sw with strike 1.25, so I’m looking to lower the swing weight. Is this a good idea? Also considering this dirt cheap today as it’s on sale for less than half price. or am...

    Yonex Ezone 2022 AO

Come on, I need a spy pic! I need cheering up after watching the last Bond movie, loosing my job a few weeks ago and now hurting my back last week(mild injury). I need some good news! :) Has anyone hit with the new one? A positive note on the hitting experience would be enough to make my day!

Looking to minimise the muted feel of my Yonex’s!

Several: Ezone 98 2020, 98 tour and also the latest vc95. I think hitting with the now old Ezone XI98 and the Regna has highlighted how muted the current frames are, at least for me.

Seconded! That raw connected feel is sorely lacking in the current generations. And it came in black! Its' the only Ezone to have taken down all the really big scalps on the tour too, Roger, Novak (twice), Rafa (beaten 3 times) and Andy have all fallen victim to the Ezone Xi98. Also took down...

    Handle Weight Positioning

I remember reading somewhere on here that weight at C speeds the racquet up and at A it slows it down. So the theory was if you are consistently late to contact on forehands, add weight at C, early to contact add at A. Also read that swing dynamics are different for forehand, back hand and for...

BP 16x19 with leather grip vs Rf97: Which is the the more demanding racquet for an intermediate level player? Enjoy my BP, but sometimes question my sanity.. Would most consider the RF (maybe without leather) to be less demanding than a 344 sw BP with leather at 343g all in. Years ago I...

    2019 Yonex Regna (Japanese exclusive)

Restrung the Regna with natural gut main and poly tour Rev in the cross. 53/50, played social tennis this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with this set up. Had been using gut crossed with poly tour strike and the change of cross string to Rev definitely gave the Regna a boost in the...

2018 needed weight for me. 2021 can be played stock. If you don't want to add weight I'd avoid the 2018.

    The gut/poly thread

I have been using yonex strike as a cross as its way cheaper and holds tension better than Alu rough, but it starts to get sticky and stay out of place after a few weeks. Alu rough stays incredibly slippery for ages. Lux rough is the gold standard for me too, I just can’t afford/justify paying...

My club loves this ball too! 1st outing it’s not quite as good as slazengers top balls, but second outing it’s way better as it doesn’t go flat anywhere near as fast. And unlike the Wilson trinity, it’s does feel heavy and hard. It’s the perfect ball for rec players in my opinion. Perfect middle...

Is the Blade Pro 16x19 really stiff?

Way softer than the ps97 and yes much more weight in the head as per above post. Without adding weight to the handle it’s like you’re playing a different sport. My example has a 344 sw, so it is not something most pro staff 97 players will have ever encountered. I love it! If you not prepared...

Handle tech. It’s now a new stick. It got the same handle tech changes that the standard blade received according to the Wilson website. Right now there are no reports from anyone hitting with an V8 BP. So it’s unknown if Wilson botched it or made it even better and if changed significantly, is...

On a positive note, the grommets are pre settled! So your first string job will feel absolutely perfect and not loose tension in certain areas as the grommets compress and settle as they do on the first stringing. You are actually pretty lucky. :) Not to mention, you should be thankful as the...

Specs are, but Wilson says there is a new tech in the handle of this and in the new std v8 blades. It’s not just a fresh paint job. It’s now a different iteration/version. It will not feel exactly the same. Would be great if someone who has one could remove the grip and take some pics? :)

Yonex liner tech, did it cause the muted feel?

Thinking about my many and varied yonex’s and the muted feel that’s crept in, in recent years. Lock booster was touted as a feature and a new tech on earlier vcore pro type racquets. So locking the string and preventing any movement at the grommet was advertised as an advancement. Now with...

Pros and cons of adding weight to the handle

I’m back with a stock 310g frame(unstrung) for the time being and finding life a little easier on the court. It is not a crazy amount of effort to give it a try. If it’s a fail, put some weight back on and go from there. I hated stock frames previously, now I’m more open to it. Experiment and...

Calling Foot Faults - Do you call it or no?

Regna is a sweet hit. My Bp’s strings are shot so I took the Regna for a spin yesterday for social doubles. The feel is so so good Sweet spot is not huge, an Ezone has a much larger one and has more power and would be easier to use for most players. Others have mentioned it sits between the...
