Has Novak Djokovic now TRULY figured out Rafael Nadal for good (Even on clay) and have his number now? Is this the final icing on the cake?

I agree with a lot that is being said here. However, I still think that if Nadal doesn't miss that ridiculously easy volley at the 3rd set tie-break, or if he reads Djokovic's drop shot just a bit better when Djoko was serving at break-point in that same set, the coin flips the other way for...

Funny... that's not what Thiem said last year.

    Yonex Poly Tour Strike power

Thanks, I'll do a search then. I switched to Yonex about 2 months ago and I've been stringing with the same tension for both mains and crosses.

Why are reviews on 4g so varied?

Actually, you can take it to both extremes: - People who have not developed touch or wrist action who string at extremely low tensions because Nalbandian strung low, then complain that the string is crap because they can't keep the ball in. - People who string at 63 lbs because that's how Guga...

Why are reviews on 4g so varied?

    - Because string choice is very personal, and what works for me might not work for you. - Because people think they can use pro tensions when they have neither the technique nor the physical conditioning for it.

    Yonex Poly Tour Strike power

I had no idea about this. Is it advertised anywhere? Has it been discussed here? Regarding the PTS, I like the string, but I do find that if my wrist isn't loose, I don't generate enough spin to keep the ball in. Maybe a thinner gauge could help somewhat.

Do you enjoy playing against a pusher/junkballer who is better than you?

Ok, I see what you mean. I'm from Argentina though, so English is not my first language. That's probably why. I just haven't been exposed to the terminology as much. I can completely relate to the feeling however.

Do you enjoy playing against a pusher/junkballer who is better than you?

I haven't been here long enough, so I don't necessarily give that word a bad connotation. To me, a pusher could be someone at a very high level, who will only play high percentage shots with depth, not go for winners, never overhit, and rely mainly on his fitness level to win. I've seen guys...

Do you enjoy playing against a pusher/junkballer who is better than you?

I think you're missing the option "They make me hate myself and my game, but I need to face them if I want to beat them".

    2021 Yonex VCore 95

I think it should work out at mid 40s, but string choice is very personal. I want to try Solinco Confidential next for comparison. I would really like to just find a good one and stick with it for a couple of years. What string are you currently using?

    2021 Yonex VCore 95

You weren't asking me, but I loved it on my '21 VC95 strung at 46 lbs. Comfort was great, decent power, and it has maintained tension pretty well for me. Only thing is I sometimes wish I could get a bit more bite since I play mostly clay courts. I'm thinking about trying the 1.20 to see if the...

MEP vs ET Players - Original TT Epic

I think the right question in the context of that particular debate is whether he hit hard enough for racquet weight to be a factor. I think it's hard to judge without being on the receiving end of his shots, but he seemed to be careful not to go overboard with power and focus on placement and...

Having hard time hitting consistent serves

I certainly know how that feels. My suggestion is to focus on fixing that rather than changing your service motion, which doesn't look bad at al btw. Once you have a consistent, reliable toss you can make minor adjustments to things like pronation and such. My bet though is that you'll find that...

Do you feel in control of your toss? Or is it a bit random and you have to adjust to it on most serves?

I like what Topher is doing out there. He seems to be calm, making good decisions. OTOH, Ben seems to be enjoying this pace too and honing in. Should be an interesting 2nd set to watch.

I appreciate the presentation as well. I also like the comments from the players during changeovers. What I do not appreciate is the cliffhanger at 5-5 in each set.

MEP vs ET Players - Original TT Epic

Unfortunately we will never know, given that we live about 8000 miles from each other. I said I'd have a shot, not that I would crush him. He is a great competitor, but he isn't top 100 ATP either. People have won against him. I try not to step into the court thinking I'm going to lose. But...

MEP vs ET Players - Original TT Epic

Hero? When did I say he was my hero? I’m not modeling my game after his as I don’t see enjoying myself playing like that. I actually think I would have a decent shot at beating him. Not love-love, but I like my chances. I’m only saying I like how he’s handled the spotlight. You don’t have to...

MEP vs ET Players - Original TT Epic

I have to say I admire the way you are taking all of this. You have a bunch of keyboard pros dissecting your game, many going on about how easy it would be to take you 0 & 0, telling you how you surely cannot move past a certain level, yet you remain gracious enough to hang around and reply to...

I'm all for GSG, and I actually hope he beat Ian. But come on. You've never seen any of these guys hit a ball? I've seen 70% of that list live. And all of them on TV several times. I guess I just spend more time watching pro tennis than on youtube.

    Peak Delpo was Mythical AF

Wow... bit sour there. I don't think going through 4 knee and 4 wrist surgeries is "playing it out on injuries". Do you have any idea what it takes to come back, let alone be competitive again as many times as he has? As for his single "lucky" run at the USO, he also made the SF in 2017 and...

    Peak Delpo was Mythical AF

As an Argentinian and DelPo fan, I have to agree with this. I think he would have been a contender, probably picked 2 or 3 more slams, and maybe reached #1 on and off with Murray, but the big 3 are on another level. They just keep redefining what the word 'record' means in this sport.

MEP vs ET Players - Original TT Epic

I guess I just disagree. I'm not saying he's not knowledgeable, but I've encountered plenty of people who know just as much of this sport or even more. There's a reason top players pay thousands of dollars to their coaches. If anything, a fresh perspective (from someone who knows what they're...
