    Wilson BLX Prostaff 95 review

I received the prostaff this morning and was matched to stock specs by TW. I added 2 6' strips of lead to the 12 o'clock position and a leather grip along with a wilson pro overgrip. It is strung with RPM blast at 53# I have used the volkl PB 10 mid, Aerogel/4d/biomimetic 200, and K Six-One 95...

Dunlop Biomimetic 200 Vs Wilson BLX Pro Staff 90

If the difference was playing in matches vs playing in practice, that is not the racket's fault. It is yours. That's like saying when you breathe with your eyes open, you're fine. But when you breathe with your eyes close, you have a panic attack. It is not the air's fault, it is yours. Ive...

Opinions on Forehand Swing Path for Junior Girls

Well yes, ideally the women's strokes should emulate that of the men pros, but since all the pros start at a young age, and girls tend to be weaker than boys, this might be an unsolvable issue since the technique is set in stone unless they're willing to relearn the stroke when they reach their...

what do you pay for your racquet to be strung?

    I charge 10+cost of string

Opinions on Forehand Swing Path for Junior Girls

Could it possibly be because of strength? ATP pros can arguably swing much faster with a shorter backswing than WTA pros can and maybe they need a longer takeback to compensate?

    having wrist issue since...

I'm not sure if your wrist problems are due to injuries, but I've fractured my wrist multiple times and I used to get wrist pains, but after fixing my form, they went away. I suggest icing it when you get off the court and try not to keep your wrist so stiff when hitting the ball

    No more Pacific natural gut

I've used pacific classsic 17g multiple times, and I've never had it snap or break in the racket prematurely. Are you sure it's the stirng's fault and not your own?

Are there any plans to restock on pacific classic 17g? I haven't seen it here for a while

When do you decide which corner to hit?

The worst thing you can do is to try and decide during your ball toss. Regardless of whether or not your opponent leans to the side you area planning on serving to, the indecision that comes from trying to change it will more likely than not miss the serve

    Double faulting

A topspin-slice serve is different than a kick serve in that for a righty, a topspin-slice will still bounce to the server's left while a kick serve will bounce to the server's right The best solution for a good second serve is to develop one with a lot of topspin, or learn a kick serve if you...

String for 12 year old boy for wilson blx blade 98

I'm assuming you have a budget since you include that it must have gut comfort: Lower end: Forten Sweet syn gut (actually doesn't play that bad for a cheap string, very comfortable), have also heard good things about Gosen OG Sheep micro, Tecnifibre e-matrix Mid range: Babolat excel...

Any opinions on Tecnifibre ATP razor?

Was browsing through the strings section and found: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Tecnifibre_ATP_Razor_Code_17_String_Carbon/descpageACTFUSA-TFRC17C.html Has anyone used the Tecnifibre ATP Razor? I'm looking for a little bit of extra power from my poly that doesn't feel too soft. I...

Hi do the new Dunlop tour bags hold their shape? I'm specifically looking at the green one and don't want a bag that collapses on itself. Thanks

    Strung or un-strung

I feel that player's sticks come unstrung from where I am, New Jersey, but rackets made for the weekend or once in a while player usually comes strung.

Serve & Volley Off - Court Prep

Nothing helps with fatigue more than just running. A good drill is to go to a track and sprint the straight and jog the turn. Do this over and over

Any risk in buying a new racquet sitting in inventory for over 10 years?

Unless it's been strung for those 10 years, it should be completely fine

    Forehand: question on technique.

Because my footwork is subpar, I find myself hitting shots off balance or hitting it awkwardly. The single biggest thing that is the difference between hitting a decent shot when you are off balance or a crap shot is the weight transfer. Even when out of position, move your weight from one...

    Weiscannon Silver string

What's the current opinion of silver string vs other polys like rpm blast or the like? I used it a couple of years ago and was wondering how people think they compare to the newer high end polys

Well, I'm back full circle to my Volkl PB10 mid

I agree with you the the PB10 mid was an amazing racket, but I couldn't get over the grip shape. Was trying to find a different pallet to replace it with, but decided wasnt worth the hassle. How do you find the grip shape?

    Comment about shipping speed

Something similar also happened to me on my last order. I bought about $220 worth of stuff, and there was an issue with my credit card and it was delayed. I put 2nd day air on my order, but when it was finally shipped out, it was sent by ups ground. I can't really complain about TW's customer...

Most extreme grips on the tour?

I thought it was obvious, might be too harsh of a word, that having an extreme grip leads to a more bent arm. If you hold your racket in all those different grips, you'll see that it is really hard to hold a western grip forehand with a straight arm. Your wrist will be filly bent back and any...

    Does Nole have asthma?

He had a crooked nasal passage. Almost everyone has crooked nasal passages, but most are not significant for us to notice. Nole is one of the few who had the crooked passage affect him. He had surgery to fix it.

Just make sure you hit through the ball instead of just brushing up on it. And I really see no need to use that as a regular shot

    Wrist Issue (TFCC?), potential causes?

I have broken my right wrist twice so far and I think I get what you are saying, but my pain is enduring. I switched to a NG hybrid and it helps a bit. Also make sure you don't have a hairline fracture or anything. My pain usually comes from my ulnar side since that is where I've fractured it...

charliefederer, tricky, leed, etc: I've a serve dilemma (pics & vid included)

Having your palm face up on your left arm is a pretty big issue. It will make you hit long a lot if you are even a little bit late. It also might make you arm your serve because you need to turn your hand in before you hit the ball. That one picture in your original post looks very awkward...

When is relaxed...too relaxed, an interesting experience...

My coach always tells me not to be too relaxed or else it may lead to injuries or bad play. He tells me not to be stiff, but be a little tense when I play. You should be relaxed mentally, but having loose limbs is not good.

    Constantly serving long.

I doubt you have the proper mechanics down to get to 120 mph. My coach's assistant is amazing and his max was 121 mph. The reason your serve is going long is because you are tossing the ball too low. Toss it extremely high and a little behind your head. Even if you feel you toss high enough...
