    Tennis shoes good for running

Are there any <$80 tennis shoes out right now that are durable and good for hardcourts, but also are comfortable as running shoes? I've tried running in nike air resolves but my shins started to hurt, so i need tennis shoes with a lot of cushion.

Federer trains with Luncanu before the great RG final?

I think i remember one of the announcers a few days ago or so say that federer/roche had hired puerta as a lefty hitting partner since he was suspended from the tour. I could've heard wrong and they were talking about portas or something but i definately remember hearing something like that.

    Rate my hits

ok if this is a serious thread/video, then my advice would be to be more fluid and relaxed, work on the more technical aspects after you can play more comfortably.

    How is Ljubicic so good?

he plays similarly to federer with a better serve, worse forehand, and better backhand, that's why he's so good.

there's really no real similarity besides being agile, the stance for a jump shot and a forehand are completely different.:|

    Raymond slice backhand

I was watching the FO today and lisa raymond's slice backhand was pretty sick. I noticed that her hitting arm is slightly bent when she hits, while when i attempt slice backhands my arm is almost straight and my racquet perpendicular to my forearm, is the reason for my sub-par slice backhand the...

    One hander

when i mess around in practice and hit 1handed, i find that the key is to take the ball way in front and too much wrist action will start to hurt after a while, so pay attention to that. however, im not expert on a one handed backhand at all so you dont really need to listen to me i guess.

    trick shot

use an eastern backhand grip and hit the ball when it's super low. VERY CAREFULLY if you're a guy. (i've never had the guts to fully commit to this shot)

Whats your First serve and your second?

it really depends who im playing, if it's someone that could punish a return, i usually go for a bigger flat first serve, if there's no threat, i try to kick both in.

    Fischer Pro Number One

smallest sweetspot of any 98" i've ever played with, but it's so good once you get the hang of it. control and spin, and you can take full swings on every shot and they'll land nice and deep, and at the net it's very manuverable. i added a few grams of lead at 10 and 2 for a heavier feel.

how to mentally stay moving against no pace

In a match during a pusher who just throws up lobs and moonballs, how do I keep my feet moving? The shots are going so slow that the result is I hit flat footed because I get to the hitting zone with 3+ seconds to spare. How do i mentally remind myself to stay on my toes? (because if i don't...

    why your stick?

fischer because no one uses it around here, and it's challenging enough to play with so i'm always focused but never unable to hit.

bolliteri taught me how to hurt myself =0

There was a 30-minute special on the tennis channel by the bolliteri academy on "the sonic serve" well during this instructional, they advocated arching your back so you can snap it back on the motion for extra power (like an elastic effect). First of all, when i tried to add this to my motion...

    Wind

30+ mph winds are like tropical storm force winds....anyway, my suggestion would be to flatten out your shots and compinsate for the direction and force of the winds, play the numbers and hit to the middle of the court, if your opponent consistantly hits winners off of your shots in these kinds...

Short cross court angle forehand - PLEASE HELP

i usually hit a short angle forehand on the run, so most of them come from me whipping the follow-through over my head, or at least ending very high so the motion creates enough topspin to dip it in the service box corner.

    Western with dense string pattern?

I'm seriously considering switching to a more dense string patterned racquet because they feel a lot more crisp and solid when hitting, the only problem is that I feel that using said string pattern, I won't be able to generate the same ammount of spin as a 16x19 racquet. Has anyone else had...

    Kick serve tips

biggest tip i ever got on the 2nd serve is to keep the wrist and arms almost completely relaxed and execute a good shoulder turn, the relaxed wrist will provide spin and the shoulder turn will produce power. (plus knee bend is the foundation)
