I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

This is definitely true for ppl who think anybody can do engineering. its like somebody who says they find mathematics boring because they wanted to be rewarded by the teacher for their language based answer on the test that 2+2 should equal 5.

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

Im kinda glad 27 is a given tho. If racquets came in all different lengths i would endlessly be in persuit of the right length racquet. Id rather just shut up and deal with it.

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

Yeah. Even if you think you have the right plans/blueprints to copy a previously engineered product, trying to successfully pull it off when your engineering illiterate is like going scuba diving with sharks while your bleeding. Its not going to end well.

Tsitsipas is the most overrated player i have ever come across.

You are trying to paint me as a 1hbh fanboy in a thread i made that trashes a pro with a 1hbh. nice logic

Why cant you and your TT buddies ever hide it when your jimmies get slammed?

Why does carbon fiber sound like metal when it vibrates?

Cool. Seems weird that it isnt more utilized in the industry tho.

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

Are you saying that a team of you’s would be able to create this anaesthesia machine? because if you could then nobody is going to believe you when you say you are dumb. engineering school isnt hard. Its just hard if you are stupid. if you really are dumb as a rock then whatever you...

Why does carbon fiber sound like metal when it vibrates?

How do they get the foam in the hoop? Is it used as an expanding agent in the mold instead of pressurized air or do they fill it with foam after the air molding process?

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

Yeah i would agree with that. I was just saying that it makes more sense to refer to leverage as something that decreases as the racquet gets longer.

ok guys, in that case im going to go read “go dogs go” by dr suess so i can go engineer a car thats faster than a bugatti veyron. Ill just copy what they did in go dogs go and add a personal twist. lol, you guys are like the kind of people who think you would easily be able to understand...

How come some pros like federer dont use flexible, low stiffness racquets?

I dont know how racquet stiffness affects sweetspot. Maybe somebody else here does bc im curious about it too.

How come some pros like federer dont use flexible, low stiffness racquets?

Actually i think to be a pro tennis player requires alot of intelligence. Federer for example seems like a good example of that. andy roddick would be another example. Really funny guy.

Tsitsipas is the most overrated player i have ever come across.

I dont think you can blame people for finding 1hbhs pretty. They are almost objectively graceful imo. i like watching stan or fed or gasquet do a 1hbh, but i would rather watch med or djokovic than shapovalov or titsipas. Its not like i put all one handers above all two handers. And i think...

Yeah but bamboo doesnt sound the same as a racquet or metal when you tap it.

Best shirts to wear in colder weather?

I have some sweatshirts that work pretty well but i have to wear wristbands and tuck the sleeves of the sweatshirt into the wristbands so the sleeves dont get caught in between my hand and the racquet when i swing. I was wondering if there were like any short sleeved sweatshirts made for cold...

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

I think theres plenty of racquets out there that if djokovic grew up playing with them he would be nowhere near his level of success. If he had a decent players racquet growing up then yeah i agree with you, but if you gave him some sledgehammer oversize racquet go grow up with and get used to...

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

When you put 10 foot tires on an monster truck, you have to re-gear the transmisdion because the same torque applied to bigger wheels will result in less force at the road/tire boundary. And this idea is not different from the concept of leverage. A 10 foot tall tire will effectively reduce the...

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

Holy sheizer ive never heard this said before. Nobel prize in the science of originality coming your way my friend. Pwned Gear is very important if you want to be the best player you can be. Have a doubles team switch racquets and see how well they play lol. Pro and high level players are...

Why does carbon fiber sound like metal when it vibrates?

I never had a metal racquet. I just was listening to the frame when i tapped it and i thought it sounded alot like tapping a metal kettle. I would have expected the 2 to have very different signatures. But i guess carbon and plastic molds end up vibrating similarly to at least some metal...

Can a racquet that is good for a lanky player like medvedev or zverev be good for a player with shorter arms like verdasco or nishikori?

Using a longer racquet doesnt increase leverage. It decreases it. Try seeing how much leverage you have swinging a pole vaulting pole by grabbing the end with one hand
