Nadal: “It’s strange that someone like Djokovic with so much success reacts this way from time to time”

You know that ain't true. Just tell me one time when he made that kind of excuse, I mean, a truthful one. Anyway, smashing rackets or throwing them off are defenitely not an sportmanship example, and thus, normally players are given a warning due to that reason. This time that didn't ocurr.

Nadal is unplayable at the moment.

    Djokovic is GOAT

Has Nadal been extraordinarily lucky at the French Open?

Borg only won 6 French Open. I know he retired early, but still, he wouldn't have equaled Nadal's.

Clay is holding back the sport

Yep. And it is strange how a country with all that tennis base and a population over 320 million people, doesn't have any good current player. Amazing. Maybe that's why some americans are so salty?

Clay is holding back the sport

The other way around. Most of the season has hard courts, with so little clay tournaments and even less grass ones. And I don't understand the reason.

Has Nadal been extraordinarily lucky at the French Open?

Nope. He would have the same. Why? Because he is better than all of them combined, so he would have taken all their French in that era. And you would still be saying that he had no competition back then because he would have won it all, like in this era lol.

Has Nadal been extraordinarily lucky at the French Open?

haha sure, cause chanching the balls and having night games doesn't count at all.

Casper Ruud calls Nadal a clay specialist

even at the WTF? Don't think so...

What is more likely to happen in 2021?

None. Nadal will win the French, and Djokovic the USO and WB.

    Congratulations to Novak fans

Congrats. But what's the reason for playing a 250 right before a GS if not for habing a new title, just for stadistics...

    Draws are NOT rigged

A Nadal and Djokovic match would happen anyway, no matter the rivals, they are just the best ones. And it's better for the tournament to get that in the F than in the SF.

Has the ATP unknowingly killed Tennis by allowing the Big 3 to make these records ?

It's high likely the big 3 would still make it to the SF and F in most of the GS. Maybe with the exception of Nadal on the carpet court. They are that good. So... where is your specialist era? Besides, that also brings tons of injuries for all players, that was the main reason for the...

Greater US Open player: Nadal vs Djokovic | 2021 Edition

You know that the previous year doesn't count because of Covid, so he is not #1 yet

Will Djokovic ever win a tournament 10 times?

What I meant by that is, let's say, pretend, since I don't really know anything about it, that Einstein got a 10 in Physics and Maths every single year as a kid. But he wouldn't pass History. Can we say that he wasn't a good student just because of that?
  17. R

Will Djokovic ever win a tournament 10 times?

Student A didn't get a 10 grade in a subject. That student is exceptionally gifted, a prodigy in the subject, knowing actually more than any teacher in the country/worldwide. Can we say then that student A is better than student B? Of couse

    How has Nadal passed Sampras?

That's nonsense. The most important thing is the total Slams. As simple as that. When there's a tie, a +1 or even a +2 difference at most, you can start talking about other things. Now, 20 > 14. That's too much a difference. They are in another league. As simple as that.

Weird Stat: in the last 10 years outside of the French Open, Federer has won more Grand Slams than Nadal

You guys love saying outside of clay, don't you? Fyi, Nadal is not only the clay God, he is also the best tennis player at a single surface ever. I mean, way better than Federer in grass.

    Soderling's performance in 2009

Nadal was injured. Prove to that is he didn't go to Wimbledon the following month, when he was the defending champion back then (and won WB 2010 as well, so he was peak in grass also)

    Hubris cometh before the fall

It's not about morality. AO 2014 Nadal was injured. It's not about discrediting anyone, but saying that he didn't have any chance back then because of that.

Djokovic is left alone in a tour with no competition

What I meant by that is that he needs to play in order to get his best form. I think that's one of the reasons why he won Rome last year. Had RG been his first clay tournament, I would have been more worried. You have a point on the confidence issue though, and the roof could definitely be...

Djokovic is left alone in a tour with no competition

So, just because he lost a match in clay, when he has been 6 months without playing, he is now done? Yoy gotta remember last year he lost in Montecarlo, Barcelona and Madrid, and the he went on and won both Rome and the French Open.

If Djokodal happens in Rome, how do you see it going?

Well those new conditions are not great for Rafa at all. Specially roof and night matches... And taking his last match into account, I'd say he's not the favorite anymore
