On the 18x20 patterns I dropped 4lbs (~1.5-2kg) or more, to make it work in a similar elastic manner to a 16x19. Still the ball angle off the plate is flatter but with more power and spin than the original for equal tension=strings.

The 315 is no slouch... I like it a lot, yes slices near perfect... I do not have knowledge of what perfection is. My only game limitation is that my strokes need a little more help to shape de ball (don't like instability of textured/spin strings), hence I was asking for a more open pattern...

Please explain the layup differences (composite flex layup?). I also have not tried the TF40 305 for the higher SW... and pattern is the same. Thanks.

I wonder how the 'new' 2022 (?) TF40 will compare to the offerings from Diadem Elevate 98 (16x20) and new Solinco Whiteout 98 (16/19). Both rackets are foam filled, similar RA ~64 thinner flat beams ~21.5mm. Perhaps DJTaurus.. Don't remember if he had tested the Diadems...or Galapagos can give...

Because of the rectangular shape, it may feel smaller. All grips are a measure of the total length around... no difference there. Our hands are ALL different. Experiment with it, is worth it.

Yeah, I had the same problem many many years ago after playing with a very low RA racket: Rossignol F200 (Wilander's) and I loved the racket !!! never missed a backhand, but my elbow said Thanks but no thanks.

No way to know my friend .... but early reports say that is sufficiently different that the 'new frame' uses a 'new mold'. ;)

I increased the SW to my preference ~320-325kgcm^2 with small amounts at the top. I tried several combos of hybrids Poly/multi and Gut/softpoly and found good results for my setups. It all depends on your game and playing style. Try and evaluate objectively. Bottom line: a very powerful racket...

A MASTER PIECE from a Master !!!! Excellent thinking and work. Hope your customer/s value this level of care: from technical to interpreting the SW physics vs player. Thanks Fritz !!!

According to DJTaurus the new is something in between and new patterns added. My question and intrigue is: Why they didn't bring the 16x19 or the 18x19 to the original TF40 ? Go figure. It was asked several times. One note: I do not feel that TF40 sweetspot is small at all... and agree the head...

Yes, it needed customization. I raised both the SW and Polar to my liking ~325 & ~16.5 kcm^2 W 360 gr

Sorry I don't, and only know that is ~98 with 'thinner beam'... great feel, more head boost ala TF40 ie: free power. With new cross sections with the known technologies.

YEAAAAHHH !!! totally agree. I just proved to myself last night... 3 sets singles (lost 3-4-5) against a young hard hitter, started with the RS300 (custom) and then went back in time a little to the TF40 and finally Ltd all same specs and Hybrid strings. All awesome rackets and more power > more...

Totally agree, and the frame acts differently also as it should with 'dead' mass.

I still kept mine (5 and love them) and tried the XTC ltd 16 and 18 mains. The original is better IMO. But I got to say that the RS is a powerful frame with generous sweetspot AND the TF40 has its advantages for all courters Full swing. So I am waiting for the 'new' TF40 and we will see if it is...

Unstrung SW 300 I believe.. so ~330kcm^2 strung. HH frame on 97 head, weight ~332 strung. Beam 21.5mm.

One trend is the new 2022 Babolat PStrike VS coming up. Another one worth trying. The trend is flex below 64-65 unstrung, 60-61 strung.

Yeap, Thanks. Now, you also liked better than the TF40 v1 apparently IS improved overall. Less sweetspot but more power, in between RS300 and TF40 on the flex side. Right?

Thank you, good reference. Yes, the dynamic dampener or "tuned damper" does work. It is not a 'new' invention of Engineering, the inertial damper has been implemented in many applications, buildings like the Transamerica Corp. in San Francisco hardly moves on Earthquakes. In F1 racing was...

Just got Kswiss U3 pair and feel good, hope they will last. Great heel cushion and control, fast overall. I do dislike the prices of shoes, are a steal and a major burden to our sport. Imagine if you have to change rackets every 3 months because they were worn out....

Am intrigued by the shape also, ..."Sth has changed in the shape of the racquet. Long thin throat and the head is more of a tear drop"... Hope is not as extreme es the Volkl teardrop. How is the overall flex ? are you allowed to tell ? Thanks.

Hopefully the new RS Sharpsection gives the FT40 head and shaft geometry de right flex and the easy aero of the RS line, but it could be even better with less drag...closer to LTD. Looking forward to test this new gem.

Not a chance, I keep mine (6) well cared for... when using the RS315 and my arm hurts or my game suffers imprecision or color, I recover with my LTDs. Just did that this last 2 weeks. A-awesome racket. They say LTD is a copy of a famous Head pro reference frame (they go at $350+)... with...
