    Head pallets + butt flare

Dear TW, I would like to know if the Speed, Prestige, Radicals and Extremes all have different pallets (grip shapes) and did head increase the flare on those rackets? Thanks, John B

Dear TW, Could you tell me how these two pair of shoes compare to eachother fitwise and how the feel? Thanks, John

    Vivobarefoot Motus

Povl, what about sliding sideways inside the shoes when reaching for a ball in the corner? Is that happening in vivo barefoots? And how do you feel about jumping and landing? Is that hard on the body?

    Vivobarefoot Motus

Really looking forward to reading about your experience with the motus. I am not sure whether a thin sole is a real healthy option for the body. Humans used to be barefoot chasing animals on all kinds of surfaces, but humans were not jumping up and down and sideways on hardcourt or gravel...

    The Decline of Proper Cushioning

Thanks, Last night I played tennis with some "self made inserts" which has the heels made of a hard material and the forefeet made of a soft foam. This sort of even outs the overal cushioning. I put them in the speed 1 and k Swiss stabilor and it made the heel to toe transition much more...

    The Decline of Proper Cushioning

Could you tell us what shoes you wear? I am having trouble finding nice feeling/fitting shoes. I was thinking that maybe todays shoes are over cushioned or structured, which inhibits natural feel. Now I am thinking, maybe that natural feel wouldn't be that much of an issue anymore if a shoe is...

First real minimalist tennis shoe coming soon

It has been a while since I wore the T22's and I am not sure which has a bigger toe box, but they are very close is my best guess. It hard to compare because the toe box of the NB is very supple and has a different shape. I have no current shoe I am happy about except for the Head revolt pro...

First real minimalist tennis shoe coming soon

I haven't played in them and I have sent them back. They didn't fit my feet well enough. I could feel my heel slip, walking in them and I found the nose to be too round instead of square. ( I need more room for toe splay for my big toe, if you happen to know a tennis shoe which has enough room...

First real minimalist tennis shoe coming soon

NB Minimus 60 I have the NB minimus 60 shoes. I haven't played in them, but put them on in the house. They are pretty flexible and have flexible uppers. The laces give a snug/thight fit. The heel seems a bit wide, but this could due to the heel counter being not too rigid. They are low to the...

    Shoe specification request

Hi Brittany, Is there any hope for us that TW will be measuring stack height in the near future? I find this a useful spec which gives me an idea of how a shoe could feel from heel to toe. Cheers, John

    Racquet specs explained video

Thanks Chris, I thought the given example was two racquets with the same static mass, same balance point, but different swingweights. Now it is clear to me that you increased the static weight in your example. Thanks again! John

    Racquet specs explained video

Love the video, but did Chris explain it incorrect by saying that the racquet with the same balance and higher swingweight has more mass at the balance point? Shouldn't it be more mass towards the head and the grip, and the one with the lower swingweight the mass evenly distributed? John

    Shoe specification request

Brittany, Would you, if you have the time and opportunity, like to measure the following shoes: Barricade 7.0 Kswiss stabilor Wilson rush pro Wilson rush ngx New balance mc 996 New balance mc 1296 Joma pro Roland Particularly interested in the Wilsons. Thanks in advance, John

Help me out here... Racquet mystery

Check out the distance from the last cross string (with the dampener) to the frame. There is a lot more space at the Head than at the Wilson.

    Formula for racket stiffness?

This has gotten my interest too. Racket companies are having trouble making rackets close to listed specs, but their stiffness rating is, from what I have been told, pretty consistent. This makes me think that the difference between 60RA and 61RA might be a lot greater than one would think. That...

Struggling to get racquet to drop on serve

Pretty good Jack! You are definitely on to something. Here is a tip. If you could hang up a ball at service hitting height, you can practice that motion and get the feel of a hit, without having to worry about timing. Oh, and try to swing more upward.

Corners, Could you tell me more about the two shapes from Wilson and their differences? Thanks!

    Head grip shapes

It's just that the Extremes very likely have the same length and width, but they feel a little bit more square to me than a Radical. Just wondering if anyone else notices this.

    Head grip shapes

So basically there are two griptypes. The Speeds and the rest. If someone has another opinion, please let me know. My other question was about the Tecnifibre grip shape. Can anyone tell me about that? Thanks again.

    Head grip shapes

Thanks, I have noticed the same, that is, that the Speeds feel different than other Head rackets. I also think I noticed that the Extreme MP (microgel) had a different grip shape than other Head rackets. I am wondering if the IG Extremes have the same shape as the microgels and I am wondering if...

    Head grip shapes

Can anyone tell me if there are differences in grip shape between the Microgel extreme MP and the Youtek IG extreme MP? Also, are the grip shapes of the extremes different than other Head rackets? Or are all the shapes the same except for the Speed line? If there are more differences in...

    Would love some advice

Oh, it's okay :) There is just a significant difference in swingweight of both APD's, so I was thinking, if he likes the Speeds better controlwise than the two APD's, it's probably, like you said, a better frame for him to begin with.

    Would love some advice

I am not questioning if it feels better or not. It is just that in the OP, he plays with an 2011 APD and he playtested the 2013. I just wanted to know if he compared the speed to both Babs?

    Would love some advice

The speed feels better compared to both babolats? Just to be sure.
