    Video of My Match

Internet makes it easy for ppl to make any kind of comments. I’ve seen and played guys with an average looking, unimpressive game who wipe out everyone in their path. Not saying ops game looks average because it definitely does not. Results speak more than opinions & anecdotes.

    Official Wilson Clash thread

I thought the standard clash had good stability, plow, & control for a racket in that spec range - not too much different than an aeropro or pure drive. The clash felt solid for groundies & not too shabby on serves as well. But everyone is different - it’s so subjective. To me, the french...

    Official Wilson Clash thread

good find I really like this guy’s reviews - concise & informative. Plus his skill level lends validity to his words for me - he swings like a beast. I’m more interested in this frame now after his comparisons.

It's been a great ride with my H22. This stick does nearly everything well & I thought I would not come across anything that I would like more until recently. If anyone is looking to pick up a lighter 18X20 version (306 gm unstrung), message me.

    Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

Ever since I 1st began stringing & playing with blast, it seems weird for me to think of it as a gear-shaped string - it always felt like a round poly. Even as I am feeling it strung in my racket right now, I really have to try hard to feel the edges. If you had not mentioned it, I would have...

    Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

18 gauge is definitely more lively but I haven’t played enough to make a judgment on spin. From what I can tell the spin seems mostly the same but I now have string savers in there which probably reduce spin potential to some degree. I’d have to go higher in tension to tame the power & launch...

    Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

Agree with this but was going from a normal stiff pure drive to a more flexible one and did not want to have too many variables going on at once. I was trying to make the racket more headlight as well. Shaped strings can also loose their playability pretty quick when their edges get worn. The...

    Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

Take my experience with a grain of salt because I've used 18X20 string pattern for the most part and have only recently found a few 16X19 frames that give me the level of control and feel that I am happy with. The tension drops in a closed pattern don't seem to affect me much at all - in fact I...

    Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

Would like to share my experience with a few of these strings. I like round polys for the same reason - seem to have a more consistent response and less loopy trajectory. I like RPM Blast the best because of the consistent power, spin, and control. Although it is rated as a stiff string, I can...

Pure drive woofer grommet vs pre-woofer grommet

I know this is an old thread but do you think the 2018 pure drive bumperguard will fit the original pre-woofer (fognini) pure drive? I'd really like to have a replacement for a worn original pure drive one.

    Blade 16x19 vs Blade 18x20

From my experience, I would stick with the 16X19 - especially if you're pretty comfortable with it. I've used an 18X20 for the longest time & absolutely hated playing in the wind because it would wreck havoc on my game. I had the hardest time finding at 16X19 that I liked until I picked up the...

    THE CLASH equals TRASH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on the setup but I found the regular clash to be on par or greater power-wise than my 2015 blade 16X19. To me it hits like a tweener - less demanding & easier from the get-go than rackets like a blade or the old radicals. I only hit with it for short demo session but it felt like a less...

    Babolat PURE DRIVE VS 2019

I had a short 20 min demo with the pure drive vs recently. My initial thoughts are that it feels like a comparable offering in the blade/radical category. It felt solid with good stability in stock form but has room to customize to your liking. It seemed to hit serves pretty decent without any...

    Official Wilson Clash thread

Had a short 35 minute indoor demo with the clash & clash tour. I came in with an open mind & I have to say that both rackets hit a pretty decent ball. Pretty good stability in stock form on both. I liked the regular clash more because it felt more maneuverable & is in my usual spec range. I...

    Babolat first generation

I just picked up a 1997 version 1st gen pure drive. I’ve played with many babolats & tried to stick with them but they just never worked out for my game. This version felt amazing from the 1st hit - such a great combination of feel & control with good power. The only other babolat that I’ve...

*** Long Live The Radicals ***

Reviving this thread. After 3 yrs of soul searching and buying & trying out countless other rackets, I've come full circle and gone back to my trusty liquidmetal radical mp. There was no adjustment period whatsoever - like I've been playing with it all this time. It's not the most powerful...

Question for HEAD LM Radical MP users

I have my LM radical mp strung with RPM blast 18 (1.20) at 46 lbs (21 kg) & find it plays pretty nice - this frame has such inherent touch & control built in. I have 2 gm of lead at 3 & 9 and 1 gm at 12 o'clock plus 3 gm blutak in the buttcap Weight: 321 gm and 3 pt HL. Not sure if the tension...

Wanted Head Liquidmetal/Flexpoint Radical MP grommets/bumperguard

Looking for Head liquidmetal or flexpoint radical mp grommets. I saw that I can buy sets on the bay but was hoping I could find a more reasonable deal with some TTW members. I had 2-3 sets that I gave away to some TT members when I sold my radicals & wished that I had held onto them. Hoping one...

    Babolat PURE DRIVE VS 2019

I feel that the published specs on the tw website seem more in line with a poly string setup. The syn guts & multi strings will lead to a lighter static weight more headlight balance. Maybe if strung with a poly it will closer to the listed specs.

    Poly and string savers?

I only use polys & put them in when I want to tighten up the stringbed for more control & less power when it feels like there’s been some tension loss. It feels mostly the same but is a little firmer with less bite on the ball. I’m not a string breaker but feel it has got to help the strings...

Live by the Blade...Die by the Blade...

I tried it before when I was playing regularly but not in this racket and liked it at the time. I thought it felt like a typical luxilon string but with better tension maintenance - maybe a lil more firm & less powered than alu power. I haven't played league tennis for quite some time now & am a...

Live by the Blade...Die by the Blade...

Genesis black magic seems to give good pop in this frame. I recently replaced the black magic 16 because I thought it was going dead with lux alu soft 1.25. It was a big mistake because it felt weak & low-powered. Restrung it with black magic 17 & it felt solid again. Can’t tell which I like...
