    Too Many Demos...HELP!

@rEVOLVED if there is a racket you like don’t avoid it just because others don’t like it unless you’re buying a racket for them to play with. If you like the PS try to demo rackets with similar specs like RA, head size, pattern, SW, and balance. You can use the racket finder to narrow down your...

    2018 Tecnifibre T-Fight XTC Rackets

The older Limited version of the 315 had a shot of silicone in the butt of the racket. The mold did not change (to my knowledge) but there have been cosmetic changes in the frames since the Limited model. All the Ltd models are now foam filled with no silicone in the handle. The older model with...

    I hate weaving...

Imagine a racket (almost any common racket) that could be strung where all the main strings you will weave under are held up, to ease weaving, at the top and bottom of the racket and you only had to weave half the crosses.

Stringingers??? LOL I agree with you but if there is no difficult task there is no need for a handy tool.

    2018 Tecnifibre T-Fight XTC Rackets

EDIT: My bad I just read your post again and see you were talking about the Ltd version. My Ltd XTC as I remember has higher SW than the Limited version for sure not sure about the Dynacore versions.

    2018 Tecnifibre T-Fight XTC Rackets

I have the 315 Dynacore, the 315 DC, and the 315 XTC nersions of tennis rackets. I can check the SWs tomorrow and let you know. EDIT: But because I only have a small number of rackets the variance of specs could be hidden.

    6 point mount blocks grommets

I was stringing a racket this morning and my turntable got caught up in the tensioner. I flipped the thingamajig on the watchacallit and my mount got stuck in my diablo. Needless to say, “I am NOT have a good day.” EDIT: No need to respond I woke up and the nightmare was over. Must have been...

Launch angle too high. Strings, tension, racket lead position or string technique to lower ball flight

Pretty much the same thing TWU said. They said the more power, the greater the launch angle. Increasing tension on the string (mains, crosses, or both) lowers power and the launch angle. Maintaining tension constant and switching to a stiffer string lowers power and launch angle. But when the...

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

Not what I meant but all poly should have similar characteristics. I’m surely not saying Pros Pro and Ice Code are on the same level or I would never have bought Ice Code. But for the money there are some that will surely think Pros Pro is a much better deal. I’m not one of them.

Which of these methods do you use to weave?

No it was in that shape when I got it. Been thinking of sending the turntable off to Tennis Machines to have it all powdercoated. Of course I just been thinking for years. Functionally it is fine.

Which of these methods do you use to weave?

Not true see video You were probably weaving a racket where the top cross grommet was not blocked with a tensioned string. Try push weaving the tip on the second cross.

    6 point mount blocks grommets

You're pulling the string around the mount pull the string from the other side of the mount by simply passing the string between the racket and the mount.

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

I just strung up some Ice Code poly in an 18x19 racket with an ATW pattern. I used 18.5 Kg for all mains and bottom cross and crosses 1 - 18 were strung at 19.4 Kg. I used the Stringway Online Tension Advisor to get the tension range with a DT of 28 and my racket's dimensions. I know this is a...

Launch angle too high. Strings, tension, racket lead position or string technique to lower ball flight

Per TWU http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/trajectory_info.php So anything that will make the racket more powerful like extending the racket, adding weight, lowering tension, or using a softer string will give you a higher launch angle. The only thing you have going for you is you...

Frugal drop weight'ers: Electronic machine is a REVELATION.

LOL I actually found poly easier that strings that stretch a lot. With poly when stringing the crosses the arm does not fall much when a string is under tension and you move the clamp. A a string that stretches the arm can fall quite a bit and I feel I need to reapply tension.

Frugal drop weight'ers: Electronic machine is a REVELATION.

When I wanted Less slack onmy X-2 I would turn the drum a little more clockwise after placing the string in the gripper to take up slack. You must be care though if you Tension the string and have to release it there could be a problem.

acceptable wait time between stringing mains/crosses

I am under the opinion that it could make a difference depending on machine you are using. @travlerajm uses an X-2 drop weight which is not IMO going to provide the best racket support in the stringing process. @travlerajm has also used used big variations in tension between mains and crosses...

acceptable wait time between stringing mains/crosses

Back in the 80s the USRSA ran a test when the RDC first came out. They strung a racket then strung the mains only in an identical racket with the same string and tension. The next morning they strung the crosses with the same string and tension. After testing on an RDC there was no difference...

Please identify this blacked out racket!

Not even close look at the throat opening and compare the 2 rackets. No PWS, 6 Vs 8 Grommets holes, and the Length of the throat area are all different. EDIT: But the more I look i doubt it is a Tec either.

Please identify this blacked out racket!

Should you go for it? If it is a pro stock frame there is not a big advantage unless you have multiple frames with matched specs. A single frame is no better than any other frame IMO. I would not go for it unless you know first what it is you’re buying.

Please identify this blacked out racket!

I doubt it is a Limited version but maybe a 315 TFight if it is a 16x19 then the specs could fit. EDIT: I’m guessing the low SW and weight are unstrung specs.

    Yonex grommet design.

Well that would depend on the string ZX by its stiffness rating is a soft string because it has little resistance to stretch. Kevlar on the other hand by its stiffness rating is a very stiff string but is one of the most playable strings you will ever string. Natural gut is not stiff either and...

I have strung a lot of X-One Biphase and have never seen a failure near a grommet. X-One is a soft string.

Broke Natty Gut on my Klippermate. How?

What he said and what he did are 2 different things. He tensioned 1 on the right. Then 4 on the left which is 3 more than on the right, then 5 on the right or 2 more than the left. So he never gets more than 3 ahead and usually just 2.

    Yonex grommet design.

@10shoe I would have placed a small piece of tubing between the 2 grommets to isolate the ridges from the grommets. If the string broke again it was a grommet problem and they should be replaced. If the string string didn't break it MAY BE a problem with the ridges. It could have also have been...
