Can Serena win 24 - should she pursue it?

Tennis media is very U.S-centric. They’ve never liked Margaret Court in the first place so they’re never going to talk about her achievements except in a grudging or negative way. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Serena's amazing recent devolution in terms of slam finales.

Serena should have made fitness a priority when she was young. She’s too much older than the other elite players. It won’t make much difference now even if (and that’s a big IF) she does decide to try to get fitter. That ship has sailed. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Which ‘person of colour’ did that? Or are you talking about a theoretical scenario? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Margaret Court Continues to Stay Ahead of the Pack at 24

Never mind, it’s all BS anyway. Thundervolley just has a weird obsession with that player and doesn’t miss a chance to smear their name. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Does Sam Stosur have the best ever WTA forehand

When Mary Pierce was hitting her forehand well nobody - including Steffi - had a chance. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Margaret Court Continues to Stay Ahead of the Pack at 24

Margaret Court has been staying out of the public eye in recent months, she was not at Roland Garros either. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Navratilova had a better career than Court

Martina Navratilova and Margaret Court are both flawed individuals. We are getting off topic here and going around in circles with certain posters insisting that the personal life of a tennis player belongs in a discussion about their professional career. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Navratilova had a better career than Court

You seem a tad obsessed with Martina. Don’t you have anything else to say? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Is Andrea Jeager still a nun or not?

But did she take her final vows to become a nun? And yes, the Dominican order is pretty liberal, their nuns are not required to live in a convent, wear a habit, practice celibacy etc.

An unbelievable pic of Nick Kyrgios

Nick makes my gaydar ping. And WTF is that on his right arm?

Navratilova on Serena: "It's Not Right"

...:) And yet, here you are talking about her (Navratilova) MN expressed concern for Serena, and her remarks were pretty restrained. Gurl was clearly under the influence of something stronger than a Tylenol and shouldn't have been allowed to leave her hotel room, let alone step onto a tennis...

    Andrea Jaeger

Suzy was married to former player Scott Davis.

Who is the greater player? Mcenroe or Wilander?

McEnroe at his best was better but his peak didn't last long at all. Wilander was more consistent overall and more successful on a variety of surfaces. He did much better on grass than Mac did on clay. Not Wimbledon but he won the Australian Open when it was still held on grass.

What should players be banned from saying in interviews?

Players today don't have much to say that's worth listening to. Even the older ones sound immature and dumb as a post.

The "What's Wrong With Her?" Thread

*shrug* Sam is always like that, she's never been a big drama queen.

    greatest all round woman player

Henin is the best all-court player in recent memory. By a long way. Graf monstered serves and forehands but not much else.

    Greatest Volleyers of All Time

Gerulaitis, because it was all about his volleys. He didn't have a big serve or a huge groundstroke that he could monster and get an easy volley off.

    Regina Marsikova

A top-notch doubles player also. Played with Jaeger at some stage, as I recall. Her tennis career was effectively derailed when she was jailed for two years for vehicular homicide in the early 1980s.

    Andrea Jaeger

Navratilova wasn't too thrilled because Jaeger made some unwelcome and unreciprocated advances. I thought it was common knowledge.

The Key to Success is to have a very supportive girlfriend

Navratilova would agree. The trouble starts when the tennis star loses interest and has to get bodyguards to throw the girlfriend and her crap out into the street.

    Justine Henin :(

ROFL :) I just don't get why Chrissie still feels the need to cram herself into those tight, short dresses all the time, at nearly 60 years of age.

    The Austin-Evert rivalry

I think they got on well. I remember them kidding around together at the WTA anniversary thing at Wimbledon a few years ago. Plus Martina had nothing but the kindest words for Evonne in her autobio.

    The Austin-Evert rivalry

I do find it amusing that Chris and Tracy both ended up with three sons. Also that none of Chrissie's kids look anything like her.

fantasy match 2: Evert vs Lenglen

This match could only be played at Roland Garros. It would get to 6-6 in the third set and Lenglen would walk off the court claiming to be too ill to continue :)
