    Mayami strings

Does anyone in the US have issues checking out and paying? I keep getting "2000 Payment declined by issuing bank". I called my bank and they said they don't see any charges and could be system issue on Mayamis side.

    Ultimate string of choice !

Grapplesnake Tour Sniper is a really good string. It’s 5 sided but not that sharp, super smooth and easy to string. It’s provides the predictability of a round string with some bite for good spin. If you haven’t play tested the TS, I would love to hear your feedback once you have.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

So I ended up keeping #2 and #4. I strung one up with BK and the other with Mayami Magic Twist. SW came out to be 326/327sw respectively. I added 2g of tungsten tape at 12 and final specs came out to be: 1- 326g static / 32.7cm / 332sw 2 - 327g static / 32.7cm / 332sw I'll have to get my hands...

I remeasured #6 and it's actually 32.5, so could have been a typo the first time I wrote it down. So #3 and #6 are really close. I'll probably end up keeping #2 and #4 as they are very close as well (297sw and 298sw) and I can lead it up to increase SW if desired.

Yeah I thought so too. I checked my Briffidi last week and it seems to be on point. I’ll probably checks again before final measurements and keep two.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I love the VC95 when I'm the more aggressive player and attacking. I found defending with the VC95 more difficult vs. other racquets in my current rotation, but it's always in my red yonex bag!

Thanks for the info, and good to know! Crazy action on the BP for sure! My hitting partner hits with the PA23 and he also agreed that the BP is the real deal once he hit with it. He even offered to buy my current BP once my new ones come in.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Finally had some time to really hit with the BP with my regular hitting partner. My partner says my groundstrokes were coming off the court really heavy compared to the ZUSies. It was pushing him back and throwing off his timing. My serves also had more action on the ball once I adjusted to the...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

In an experiment to lower the SW of the BP, I restrung the BP with Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.20 and to my surprise, the SW stayed the same at 338, but static weight went from 330g to 328g, and balance from 33 to 32.8. Will see how it performs sometime this week after the rain. All the hype around...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Let me know if you decide to part with the PA23. What grip size? I’ve tried many frames in the past few months, but every time I pick the ZUSies and play, I’m instantly reminded why it’s still my #1. Still have Prince ATS TT98 and newly modded BP to test out sometime this week.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Problem with HOA is that most of them are run by a bunch of clowns who are not qualified to be handling any finances. It’s a popularity contest and end up running the community into the ground. Back to racquets! Picked up a Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98 locally for a great price. Yet, another one...

    Please help me explore strings!

For a soft round poly, I enjoy YTEX Protour Blue. Easy on the arm and good control strung in mid 40s.

I added 5g to the buttcap of the BP. Specs are 330g, 33cm balance, and 338sw. Swinging it around feels really good, and I can’t wait to take it out on the courts! Too bad I have a busy weekend with the family and probably won’t be able to try it out until early next week.

My new favorite.. Grapplesnake Tour Sniper. I’ve strung it from low 40s to low 50s and feels comfortable. Tour Hex feels good at low to mid 40s.

I’m playing the BP with just a OG right now. Just like you, my sweet spot for balance is 7pts. I’m going to play the BP as is for a bit before I add some putty to the tail end.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Thanks! When I mentioned tweener, I was referring to the PA23. I had the PA Rafa and the launch angle was too much for me. From what I heard, the PA23 has a tighter string pattern and lower RA rating so it’s been on my watch list. I usually am aggressive player, but it would be nice to stay lax...

I have a pair of EFS and loved how they played. How does the PA23 compare to the EFS? Thinking about exploring tweener land and see if I can elevate my game with more easy pace.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Had a short hour with the BP a few nights ago.. and what the truck? It just blows through the ball! It is beefier than I’m used to and feels a little sluggish at first. But my ground strokes were heavy and penetrating through the court. I was also able to easily defend and hit some nasty slices...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Just picked up a used BP v8. Had to measure multiple times.. as SW came in at 340 and 34cm balance! Currently has 16g Solinco Confidential. Going to restring with my usual tour sniper and probably add some putty in the handle to make it more HL.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I still have my VC95s. Thinking about restring them and taking them out to play, as it was my racquet of choice before the Rad MP, Elevate, and Zus. I remember liking how whipping they were. But now when I swinging it, it almost feels too whippy.

Man, I just finished catching up after a few weeks off this forum. Lots going on here, and now I'm intrigued to give VC100 a try.. especially if it plays like VC95. I loved that racquet. On a different note, I finally got my Zus 62RA and strung it up with Tour Sniper at 48 lbs. What a treat...
