HELP! Shoe Insert Solution (or anything!) for Foot Relief While On Court

Thanks all! I'm currently experimenting with two pairs of shoes I just acquired in a half size bigger and EXTRA WIDE (4E). One is a New Balance walking shoe, the other is an Asics Running shoe. I've pulled out the stock insole and replaced it with a 1) flat 8mm memory-foam insole, then 2) my...

HELP! Shoe Insert Solution (or anything!) for Foot Relief While On Court

Thx for clarifying. I was advised by my podiatrist to pull out the stock insoles, and place them in there-- so it appears they have to go onto a flat plane. I'm thinking of going up a size and placing a thick flat foam insole underneath the orthotic...

HELP! Shoe Insert Solution (or anything!) for Foot Relief While On Court

Thx! I have quite a collection of Asics Gel Resolutions and others because I don't wear through shoes anymore. When I played (prior to car crash), I'd go through the toe in about 2 months and Asics would send me a new pair. So, are you saying that a less pricey X-Trainer would be better for my...

HELP! Shoe Insert Solution (or anything!) for Foot Relief While On Court

Stomping on concrete for over half a century, I've been managing plantar fasciitis in both feet since 2010. The left one tore/ruptured in 2016 and I was on crutches for 6 months! I'm not playing due to injuries, but am coaching more than ever (I need to be on a tennis court in any way, shape or...

How Many Accomplished Tennis Players Would Agree With My Pickleball Rule Changes?

Coming back from a bad car crash in 2020, I developed severe TE-in physical therapy ever since. Going on 60, trying to develop a two hander has been the single most difficult and frustrating feat in my entire life, especially since I cannot play more than two or three times a week, for periods...

How Many Accomplished Tennis Players Would Agree With My Pickleball Rule Changes?

Aging S&V player here, too, looking for a fix! Don't know if I posted about it, but I glued pro-quality ping-pong rubbers on two paddles and my longtime hitting partner and I played pickleball at a MUCH higher level. The paddles became very heavy, however, but that's because the paddles were...

How Many Accomplished Tennis Players Would Agree With My Pickleball Rule Changes?

I say weight up the pickleball paddle with adhesive backed 60-80 grit skateboard paper (in the sweet spot) and try the RED kid ball. Start a coalition and take over the pickleball courts! It would probably yield higher play quality than slick surfaced paddles and dumb plastic wiffle balls.

Different PB ball types: who knew?

--The reason why USAPA keeps dumbing it down...The INDUSTRY IS TOO HUGE!!!

Different PB ball types: who knew?

I agree wholeheartedly...Unfortunately, you'd be hard pressed to find Spec Tennis players to do battle with.

Different PB ball types: who knew?

Yes, it would, just like ping pong, but you'd be additionally adding more spin potential and raising the level of play--- all the things that the USAPA is against. There are some paddles that have been literally banned by the USAPA because they created more spin. They just keep dumbing the game...

How Many Accomplished Tennis Players Would Agree With My Pickleball Rule Changes?

Agreed, scrap it all! Indeed, padel looks great, but requires too much skill- those guys are accomplished tennis players (except the one guy with bad OH technique)! It wouldn't catch on to the masses. Pickleball's popularity (and the whole industry/racket) is driven by its lack of a true...

Volkl DNX Power Beam 10: 18 x 20 String Pattern???

I'm seeking a grommet set for a Power Bridge (PB) 10MP that was given to me - It's 18 x 20 like the prior DNX 10 series. Someone on this forum has a set that's for a "DNX Power Beam 10." Classic Prince Frames: The Black & Green 93", 100", & 107"s : Were They Foam Filled???

These classic frames of the past have a feel that's somewhat flexy, yet also firm and buttery, which yields a relatively comfortable and "feely" hit. A decade ago, I acquired an early Vantage 100 that feels very similar... Does anyone know if these frames were foam filled? Thanks in advance!

has anyone ever shortened an extended racquet?

The Prince played better than when it was 28," but, I don't like long frames... If you want to start messing with frames, you will have to get yourself an accurate postal or kitchen scale and a balance board, period. If you cut .5" off the handle, you'll have to counterweight, that is, if you...

Agreed, in terms of growing the sport. Indeed it's unfathomable in the rate at which its grown. Where I live, they turned rarely used tennis court into four dedicated P-ball courts and it's literally a zoo in the mornings and evenings EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE WEEK! 16 players on the courts...

Volkl Mid 93" Users: Will I be Disappointed with PB 10 Mid I just Acquired?

The grommet set I recently got from TW says "PB10 Mid," but, they DO NOT FIT!:( WUWT? I would think that the PB10, irrespective of graphics, all have the 16x19 pattern and are cast from the same mold. In fact, it's probably the same mold as the old C10 Pro Tour from late 90s/early 2000s I've...
