2023 Australian Open QF: [5] Andrey Rublev vs Novak Djokovic [4]

I don't really expect this match to have much drama. Djokovic frequently drops sets but those matches aren't particularly tight. So you might get 62 61 36 64 or 75 62 63.

    Djokovic can win Rg

Novak always has a chance in any tournament. We'll have to see Nadal's form/health. I give Alcaraz, Sinner and Tsitsipas good chances as well.

Roger answers some of the questions that have been nagging at TTW Fed fans

Although I can see the logic behind say it's BS, I actually agree with Federer that he'd find a way. Great athletes tend to find ways when opportunities once thought out of reach become in play. Look at Djokovic winning a second Roland Garros. Nobody really though it'd happen. He really wasn't...

Djo to play 250 in Kazakhstan

I've been out of the loop. Why did this event move to Kazakhstan?

    Federer officially retiring (serious)

I'm not a Fed fan but I wish he got to retire more on his terms on the court. Kinda sad he didn't have one more run of good play.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

Yeah that Thiem/Zverev final was nothing more than two players scared of winning and then one of them had to win somehow. You're probably right. People dog Ruud, but a Ruud-Alcaraz match is much better than 2020 Thiem/Zverev.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

Zverev has to be absolutely distraught at how this has played out. While fully capable of donking it up, this event was just there to be won for him.

Casper Ruud will never make a grand slam final ever again

Casper Ruud on his way to becoming a slam winner at some point. It feels inevitable whether it's now or the 2025 French Open.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

Djokovic is never a lock to win the USO. If he was then he'd have way more than three of them.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

I'm kinda surprised at how people aren't giving Tiafoe much of a shot. Alcaraz off two five setters and Tiafoe has been serving well and no service game with Carlos is safe.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

I have Norwegian heritage. Can you give me more details on this. I always heard the rumor that Norwegians were loners who basically wanted minimal interaction. Not unfriendly but just stay to themselves.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

Funny thing is he'll probably do quite well at Shanghai and Paris-Bercy and build a nice little moat for the no.1 seed heading into next season.

2022 US Open SF: [17] Karen Khachanov vs [5] Casper Ruud

I find the idea of Ruud winning a slam before Kyrgios, Zverev and Tsistsipas to be rather alluring. I have a future on Carlos at 33/1 that I placed in February but I wouldn't be mad at Casper. He's a hard worker and clearly loves the game. It'd be well deserved.

Cincinnati Masters 2022 F: (4) Stefanos Tsitsipas vs (PR) Borna Coric

Coric. From the highlights I've seen it looks like he's found a serve. If so, that's a huge problem for the rest of the tour. His ground game and back hand have always been tremendous. He's got a real chance at this USO.

When will Djokovic win his last slam before retiring?

I think it was today. Maybe one more.

Is Djokovic on course to become the best grass court player of all time?

Only to beancounters. He wouldn't win a set off Sampras.

    Kyrgios is a disgusting disgrace

Eh easy to be 'mentally tough as ever' against an implosion waiting to happen. Novak was begging to be beat today.

He absolutely should have won today. If he had any composure he would have. Novak was nothing special today.

2022 Wimbledon Final: [1] Novak Djokovic vs Nick Kyrgios

If another ATG played in 2016-2022 how many slams do Djokodalerer win combined?

If there had been another great then presumably Novak would be affected far more. His Wimbledon count is very inflated. I suspect you could take away an Australian Open. For Nadal you could take away a US Open and the last AO. So I'd say another young ATG type takes away 3-5 from Novak in this...

Djokovic: “Toilet break was the turning point"

Funny how Novak never takes these 'bathroom breaks' when he's ahead 2-0 or 1-1. It's just beyond strange that there are days where he looks ripe to be had and starting to show his age, and can take a bathroom break and look like 2015 Novak afterward. The fact that this has been the outcome each...

2022 Wimbledon QF: Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner

It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. We saw this multiple times in 2021. Nothing works 100% of the time but apparently the bathroom break when down two sets just gets ****ing results.
