Do you know if there will be any difficulties in shipping the proton by air overseas because of its lithium battery?

You have said I would rather roll 40 lbs. instead of carrying 40 pounds. You are constantly comparing the Proton plus the weight of gear to another machine without the weight of gear. That is not a valid comparison and is very dishonest. You seem to work for or are somehow associated with the...

No, but there is a guy on here who keeps posting that the Spinfire weighs the same as the Proton which is a lie.

Spinfire with lithium battery upgrade and tax costs nearly $3000 and weighs 46 pounds. 150 balls weigh about 20 lbs. Ball hopper 5-10 lbs. Rackets, towels, drinks, tennis bag is another 5-10 lbs. So that is 76 to 86 lbs for the spinfire.

REAL reason everyone is withdrawing from Miami

Also, a lot of players would have normally participated in both Indian Wells and Miami. However, since Indian Wells was postponed or canceled, they decided it wasn't worth traveling to the United States just for one tournament especially with all the Covid considerations and protocols.

You are a flat out liar! The 54 lb. model costs $2400. You can pay $2700 plus tax if you want the 46 lb. model. You still have to carry balls and gear which makes it weigh 60 to 70 lbs. The Spinfire is a bloated overpriced dinosaur. Nobody wants it!

The proton weighs as much as a 6-7 month old baby. It is very portable. In contrast, a 60+ pound ball machine is not portable just because it has wheels. You still have to load and unload it, lug it up and down stairs, and over unpaved surfaces.

The spinfire with gear weighs 70 lbs. and costs almost $3,000. Nobody wants that.

Seriously, if someone cannot carry 19 pounds over his shoulder, then he should not be playing tennis in the first place.

    Hydrogen Sports PROTON

It's 54 lbs (40 + 14) unless you want to shell out an extra $279 for the 6 lb. lithium battery. The Spinfire is more than twice as heavy as the Proton, and it costs nearly twice as much at $2,678.00 vs. the $1395 promo price.

If someone doesn't want to carry the19 lb. Proton on one shoulder and 11 lbs. of balls in a bag over the other shoulder (or rolling ball basket), there is this: https://www.amazon.com/Mac-Sports-Collapsible-Folding-Outdoor/dp/B01DAWKVBM/

Best Grip for Young Beginner Starting Lessons?

This is for the young beginner. Eventually they would move to a semi-western (or western) as they become a bit older and more skilled.

Best Grip for Young Beginner Starting Lessons?

Larri Passos first video (in Portuguese) on the forehand for young beginners. And his 2nd video (below) shows him kissing his forearm on the follow through. The drill he is doing is to help the young player turn sideways to hit the ball, and shuffle sideways to get to the next ball. He said...

Best Grip for Young Beginner Starting Lessons?

Thank you for your replies! After reading some of them, I remembered a video I saw a couple of years ago by Larri Passos, former coach of Gustavo Kuerten. He said for young beginners it is best for them to put their index finger through the triangle in the racket (which implies an Eastern grip...

Best Grip for Young Beginner Starting Lessons?

In your opion, what is the best grip to use for a young beginner, 5 or 6 years old, who is just starting out with tennis lessons? Should he start out using Eastern and then switch to Semi-western after a certain amount of time, or should he just start out with a semi-western from the start...

The Spinfire battery weighs 6 kilos, not pounds. That is over 13 lbs. for the battery so that equals 53 lbs for the spinfire and the battery, unless you want to fork out $150 for an AC adapter and try to find an outlet plug somewhere. And if according to you that we are going to need 20 lbs of...

The Proton weighs about the same as a 6 or 7 month old baby. Not that heavy to carry especially with a strap over the shoulder. 80 balls weigh about 10 lbs. If you don't want to carry extra gear, balls, etc. You can make two trips. On the other hand, the Spinfire2 weighs 54 lbs. Add 80...

Got this from Jonah about 4 days ago: Parts for the Proton are mostly made in China, and ocean-shipped to California for assembly. We’re still getting quotes and lead-times for some parts, but as soon as I have all the critical ones I’ll make the first blog post. It should be in about a week.
