Maybe it's just me, but the last year(?) everytime I look at Thiem playing I have the feeling his racket (or string type/tension) is not the right one for his playstyle.. It just doesnt seem to do what it has to for some reason. More people noticed this? (Couch potato analysis of course ;))

I don't know for you of course, but over the years I found that finding the right flex and stringtype/tension works a lot better for me that having "just a heavy racket" per se :) Also changing grip sizes, or how tight you grip a racket, can have a major influence on how stable a racket feels...

But not RG.. (or other Grand Slams..) :unsure:

Maybe not what you're looking for, but I once took a racket with a too big grip to a wood workshop, where they perfectly shaved it down (with a 'precision machine') to the gripsize I wanted. It cost me 10,- :) I did this so I could keep a thicker replacement grip and have an added overgrip...
