Alcaraz and Sinner need heavier racquets vs Djokovic

What is the common frame all top 25 players use? What is the common string job they all use? Tension? Weight? Balance? There is no common setup. Yet, they all play each other and handle each other's shots just fine. Their weapon of choice, so to speak, is already optimized to their game.

How is a ball heavier, when hit with a heavy racquet, compared to a tweener!?

It might feel different....to the player. Another player? Perhaps not. The heaviness of an incoming shot is purely a perception sensation by the receiver. That this can be a shared experience among different players is irrelevant to anyone but those players.

Alcaraz and Sinner need heavier racquets vs Djokovic

It's not. They don't. He doesn't. They can all hit heavier shots and lighter shots back to an opponent with ease. They all literally do it in every rally. Pace absorbtion and pace generation, are again, literally done in every rally all pros play. Djokovic doesn't use his racquet to...

6 Slams are no longer enough to be called ATG ..... At least 8-9 required..... Do you agree?

"6 Slams are no longer enough to be called ATG ..... At least 8-9 required..... Do you agree?" No. Give it a few years after they all retire and the "argument" of why the Big 3 won as much as they did is because they were the first generation of players to master the advantage of poly strings.

Why are most Teaching Pros so terrible?

Most of the ones I knew were actually high schoolers or college aged people looking for a summer job through parks and rec. Minimum wage. Did it myself for one summer. I was terrible at it.

Djokovic was one set away from the CYGS this year - the closest ever since Rod Laver

Close only counts for horseshoes and hand grenades.

Which tennis player should Head feature that will promote the Prestige line?

Well, by good I was meaning reliable but I suppose one could also add reliably not a luxery vehicle too. lol

Which tennis player should Head feature that will promote the Prestige line?

From my understanding, Wranglers, stock, are actually pretty good. The problem with their reputation is that so many people mod with either low quality mods or low quality installs.

Do you lease and turn in those BMW'S? If not, then great for you but the landscape of today doesn't resonate with your experience.

Why doesn't Puma invest more in Tennis Players?

Oh, I don't know. There is that element but they've been in soccer for a long time and have a niche with European motorsports/BMW and Ferrari.

View: let's stop kids escorting players to tennis court

It isn't about serving a purpose. And for the kids chosen, it's a pretty big deal because most are in fact fans of the players. Put more simply, it's a nice thing to do that doesn't detract from anything. And no, it doesn't no matter how much you try to put forth otherwise.

Why the 20 second rule fails and a way to fix it.

Common sense? The rule breakers are intent on pushing the limit. Common sense gets relegated to the background where winning is involved.

Hot take: Djokovic in 2015 could have brought out his 2011 level at any time, but chose not to.

Huh? If you're referencing Nadal, I'd say they both are. As to logic, there is no logic involved. I wasn't making an argument. It's my opinion based on commonalities seen with known doper performances. That doesn't make me right or wrong hence no "argument".

    Poly Problem in Every Demo

It isn't reasonable to ask every seller out there to restring a demo, at their cost and time, at your desired string and tension. Put more simply, "Yes."

Hot take: Djokovic in 2015 could have brought out his 2011 level at any time, but chose not to.

Okay. Agree or not? Why? What's it matter if anyone agrees or not? Do you feel your opinion is more valid because others may agree? My opinion is that he's a doper and as a result I think all of his successes are invalid. I don't need anyone else to agree or not. If Djokovic could...

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

Sure. Who cares. What I mean is that he wins by endurance. Even on a serve that's been attacked, he still wins the point enough. Also, who knows if the opponent is feeling like they should attack the serve just because it is attackable. At the pro level, the matches are like chess. Just...

The Olympic singles Gold Medal is actually the most important title in tennis.

    1. Wholeheartedly disagree. There are some sports where the pinnacle competitive event is the Olympics. Swimming. Gymnastics. Track and Field. There are some sports which do not belong in the Olympics. Tennis is one amongst many.

Daniil Medvedev disagrees with Stefanos Tsitsipas on ATP Finals being 'bigger' than a Major

Interesting takes across the board. I've never put stock in the year end finals in the least. I've always considered it to be little more than a way to wind down the tennis season, where the whos who in tennis get a chance to mingle with each other, basically a glorified celebrity party. It's...

How much has tennis actually evolved in the last 15-20 years?

When I first started volunteering at the Nats, it was the norm to have player meet n greets, parties, etc. to have pizza, soda and video games. Now, there is no pizza and most of the ranked juniors don't go. They have their own dedicated nutrition plan and there's way, way more emphasis on...

Let’s talk about the wall. Myths and Misconceptions

Often times, sure. It depends on how you're hitting. I've posted this vid many times and as you can see many of the balls are low. At the same time, go to about :40 and you can see I deliberately hit differently and the ball comes back higher. It's really all about what you want and that was...

Let’s talk about the wall. Myths and Misconceptions

Sure, but two things. The first is that is doesn't necessarily take assumption. When I hit to a spot, I'm applying ball control. That same control applies when hitting to any spot. One can work on jump shot mechanics to a point on a wall that applies to any jump shot taken on court from any...

Let’s talk about the wall. Myths and Misconceptions

I forgot to add too that I suppose it depends on how one uses the wall. So for example, I often pick out 1x1 ft square and every ball I hit I try to hit into that area. It doesn't matter the oncoming angle etc, and it may mean a short "rally", but that's kind of the point. Namely, you have to...

Let’s talk about the wall. Myths and Misconceptions

You don't, really, but that's where the learned timing comes into play. Usually, when I start hitting with someone, after hitting on a wall, I start long, usually close to the baseline within six inches. Within ten or twenty rally shots I've adjusted and I'm hitting consistently in the court.
