Can bodybuilding hinder your potential in tennis?

I am on about 2 months of starting strength, and after this, I want to move to a bodybuilding program. If I lift just to look good and add muscle just for the sake of having muscle, could it be a limiting factor in how good I can get in tennis? Or would I be okay as long as I stretch and...

    "Multitasking?"

lol.. I guess it's just the matter of attitude.. If it's something that I really want in my life, I should go with the attitude that it can be done and try and focus better after I work out. I just find it hard to mentally switch priorities like that in the same day. I gained like 15 pounds...

    "Multitasking?"

I'm going to revive this thread because I forgot to add this: But don't you also find that you need to sleep more if you exercise? So you're not only losing the 1.5 hours in the gym or tennis court, plus the half hour it takes to get there and back, but also the extra hours sleeping..

stats: avg number of time you have to flip a coin to ensure a head

I don't understand this proof. What does each term in "avg = (1)(1/6) + (avg + 1)(5/6)" represent?

stats: avg number of time you have to flip a coin to ensure a head

Just something I learned in grade 12 stats. It's the number of tries you can expect to have before getting the event based on the probability of the event. For example, if the probability of the event is 10%, you can expect that after 10 tries you will get the event.

stats: avg number of time you have to flip a coin to ensure a head

No it does not because now the question is worded differently (average number of attempts at the test centre). The new answer I think is exactly 2.

stats: avg number of time you have to flip a coin to ensure a head

expected waiting time is 2. But to ensure with 100% certainty that you have a head.. can't be done. Unless you flip an infinite number of times.

    "Multitasking?"

Health sciences, and I need all A's to be competitive for dental school. (That's the thing, there's people who can get all A's and work out every day. I gotta lock myself in a room) I'm actually graduating in a few days but depending on what I hear back from the schools in June, I might need to...

    "Multitasking?"

I've been an undergraduate student for years but I don't understand how some people can work out every day and still perform academically. who would survive longer?

Yes. Body fat can be broken down and used as energy. That's why people lose weight when they exercise for extended periods of time (the first 20 minutes or so, the body is just using blood glucose etc).
  25. ramseszerg

    who would survive longer?

No thats exactly what happens in starvation, body breaks down triacylglycerides (fat) and glycogen. Thus the fatter person would survive longer. (Provided there is water. If there is no water both people would probably die in about 3 days)
  26. ramseszerg

    who would survive longer?

Also, if the fat person has been very fat for long enough new blood vessels may have formed storing more water.
