Sinner's win is the new Dawn of tennis

Several generations following the rise of Djokovic have been a disappointment. The Raonic/Nishikori/Dimitrov gen failed very badly. Then the Thiem/Med/Zverev/Tsitsipas gen failed. But now we got the 2000s born players Sinner and Alcaraz who could be the ones to take all the majors this year.

Sinner's win is the new Dawn of tennis

Alcaraz wasn't showing enough quality and consistency on hards. He's been struggling ever since he won Wimbledon. Sinner on the other hand has been crushing everyone in his wake. But most importantly is that his mental strength seems to be at a high level. Even after losing that 3rd set and a...

    Sinner hype is so comical

So beating a soon to be 37 year old Djokovic will make Sinner's win more legit? :-D

Breaking: Djokovic developed illness the night before Sinner clash

That was 2023. Sinner has turned a corner and is better mentally and physically and much more confident today. He won't reach peak level till around 2026. Still needs work on his droppers, slices and defense. His coach is bringing out the best in Sinner.

Breaking: Djokovic developed illness the night before Sinner clash

USO 2023...the gift draw for Djokovic. Likely that was the last major he'll ever win. At nearly 37, he won't go through any two of Alcaraz, Sinner, and Medvedev in succession in the majors.

Breaking: Djokovic developed illness the night before Sinner clash

Djokovic seems to never get sick against players like Mannarino, Fritz, and Tsitsipas though.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

I didn't know Med was considered a smart player. That garbage against Djokovic at USO last year made me think intelligence is hardly one of his strengths

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Probably cause those tactics stopped working.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Sinner game is so much like Djokovic's. If he has the same level of mental strength, who knows what he'll achieve in the majors. I think Wimbledon and USO could be fun. Looking forward to RG too.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

hy, He saw Sinner crush Djokovic without Djokovic even having a break point. Medvedev isn't shocked at losing the final. He had alot of mileage on his legs this tournament.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Medvedev should've lost in the early rounds. Probably in the second round against Ruusuvuori if not the SF against Zverev.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Sinner's legs seem a lot more muscular I've noticed.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Med was lucky just to reach the final. Dude was in wars all throughout the tournament and trying to comeback numerous times from 2 sets down including against Z in the SF.

Australian Open F: Jannik Sinner vs. Daniil Medvedev

Take it easy dude. :-D Even Federer and Djokovic have choked in crucial points. Nadal too.

Meddy “if you gotta lose …better to lose in the finals”

What do you mean? Med was supposed to lose. Didn't matter if he's 2 sets up. He lost to an aging Nadal 2 years earlier here. He's used to losing.

Djokovic got punished for playing DC + Exhos + United Cup instead of resting !!!

Wow! So much wisdom and life experience you have. You must have many grand slam titles and Masters trophies sitting in your cabinet! :D

Most time unbeaten at a Grand Slam: Federer at Wimbledon, 2002-2008 - 6 years Federer at the US Open, 2003-2009 - 6 years Nadal at Roland-Garros, 2009-2015 and 2015-2021 - 6 years Djokovic at Wimbledon, 2017-2023 - 6 years Djokovic at the Australian Open, 2018-2024 - 6 years

Exactly like Djokovic today against Sinner!

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

Zverev beat Alcaraz at RG2022. He already knew how to beat him.
  20. Mike Sams

    Alcaraz is overhyped tennis player.

Zverev is this good with diabetes! Let that sink in! Imagine a Zverev if he was healthy??? We're talking 30+ majors!

Australian Open SF: Daniil Medvedev vs. Alexander Zverev

I knew Alcaraz was gonna have a very tough tournament when seeing Medvedev and Zverev on his side of the draw! As for this match, hoping Alexander the Great maintains this level and gets it done.

People just don't seem to respect Alexander The Great! :(

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

Alcaraz wasn't battle hardened for the QF here. He had a light draw of pretenders and no real challenge until Zverev who, on the opposite side, went several 5 setters and had tough matches. Zverev looked ready for war right out the gate. Not to mention Zverev doesn't particularly like Alcaraz. I...

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

Alcaraz seems to get himself into a hole early. Lot of the top guys pounce on him which has been happening throughout the past several majors. Got broken early by Djokovic at RG and Wimbledon and Alcaraz has to fight his way back in. Got into a hole against Med at USO and had to try to fight...

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

Alcaraz hasn't beaten Djokovic on hardcourts yet. Lost in Cincy and in the SF of the WTF Finals. Alcaraz has more work to do because a lot of the top players are handling him on hards lately including Zverev, Medvedev, and Sinner. I almost feel Alcaraz is going to do most of the damage on clay...

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

Is Med tired? Because I remember Z coming into the Alcaraz match while also being "tired" from that 5 setter.
  27. Mike Sams

AO 2024 QF - (2.) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (6.) Alexander Zverev

The peak level of Z is something else! You just don't see this level of tennis from the new gen where they just eviscerate the ball from all parts of the court while serving bombs left and right. Novak got a taste of this at the Olympics which cost him the gold. The unfortunate thing is that...
