Any poly better than Lxn 4G for tension maintenance?

What about Kirschbaum Super Smash? Is this pre-stretched too? I thought so but it's description doesn't say so...

    Race to YE#1 2023 - Djokovic v. Alcaraz

If I were Alcaraz, I probably don't have strong motivation to make any effort to finish YE#1. I would know Novak is #1 this year.

Your Top 5 volleyers of all time?

It's really surprising to see people talk about Federer in this discussions indeed. Federer's follow up and finishing volleys are considered only average by ATP coaches in this era alone, lol.

    Head Velocity

I liked it. I used 58 lbs on 15L gut mains and 53 lbs on V crosses. I absolutely loved the control and spins of FB V but at times felt lack of pops on my 18x20 bed (and could not find good lower tension to compensate it). Gut mains and V crosses was good blend of power and control I enjoyed. I...

    Head Velocity

Just popped 16g V crosses which have been hybrided with Babolat Tonic natural gut 15L mains. It lasted about 50 hours on my 18x20 string bed and I was really surprised to see virtually no notching on the gut mains ! Well it's not really "no" notching but it was the least amount of notching I've...

    2023 Roland Garros - Men's Singles

    2023 Roland Garros - Men's Singles

Is it just me? I sense a bit of Kyrgios type of negative vibe from Thiago. Does he want to play tennis?

    Nadal News 2.0

AFAIK, it's supposed to be a hip flex muscle, not a hip joint issue. It's odd for one to be sidelined for 4+ months with muscle injury. I have a concern that it might be more than just muscle injury therefore. I think that's why Rafa thinks there is a risk of nearing a retirement, I am afraid, no?

    Nadal News 2.0

I have a feeling that Rafa might come back earlier than expected and 2024 does not end up as his final year. And long after he retires, he comes back at 60 and wins another Roland Garros.

Will Djokovic tie or better Federer's record at Wimbledon?

    Hybrid stringing tensions different

You meant crossing with polys, right? And you mean you start from your optimal poly cross tension and add 4,5 # for multis and nat guts mains ?
  20. E

Isospeed Second Service. First string from 100% recycled PET bottles.

This makes me think we should definitely recycle our strings.

Those thinking Djokovic is going to dominate for 4-5 years more are mistaken.

You are still holding on to "Federer is so special that only Federer can do that" pseudo religion with those last remaining not so important records achieved when either or both of Nadal and Djokovic were having injury breaks? LOL :-D Should I say you are true fan or true believer, no? My hats...

Those thinking Djokovic is going to dominate for 4-5 years more are mistaken.

Teenagers are coming up strong. :-D Question is how many more slams Nadal and Djokovic will win? And luck is important. One more serious injury and 6+ month out, will seriously hamper their chances.

Paris Masters Final: Novak Djokovic vs. Holger Vitus Nødskov Rune

Alcaraz and Sinners serves looks more than fine to me. sinner's has more room to improve but Alcaraz's has all the ingredients to be a great serve.

Djokovic on Rune and Alcaraz difference: "Rune has the better backhand and Alcaraz has better forehand"

What makes me smile about Rune's game is he has retro tennis elements. He still plays modern baseline game but his aggressive serve returns are almost reminisce of Agassi who killed serve and volleyers. And the way he constantly changing ball striking timings and pulls trigger early in a point...

Paris Masters Final: Novak Djokovic vs. Holger Vitus Nødskov Rune

I like both Alcaraz and Rune. And Sinner too. Exciting tennis expected from this generation. And I hope this stupid fanatic fandom on big 3 subsides from now on. Last 20 years have been flooded with these stupid fandoms too much. Just enjoy fantastic tennis.

"Today's 33 is our 27." - Ivan Lendl explaining the Great Age Shift in tennis.

Yeah definitely age shift but slow bouncy surfaces help. Plus other factors such as ranking and tournament seeding systems which are more protective for existing top players.
