2 Days Out Of Elbow Surgery

I had the same surgery December 2022 with the addition of Carpal Tunnel release and a bone spur ground off on the elbow. I was back on the tennis court with light, limited hitting the first week in April with zero pain and only minor weakness. By June I was back to normal play and have been 100%...

    Spinning the racket

Seems like the people who spin their rackets and let them land on the court surface are the same ones who want to hit racket heads when a point is scored.

Blade 104 v8 vs v3-v7 and what strings and tension are you using?

I just had my Blade 104 V8 strung with Solinco Revolution 17 @ 56 pounds. Easy on the elbow, significant spin, good control, and reasonable power. I am very pleased after about 6 hours of play. I would try it.

5 months with Tennis Elbow so far; help :-(

Cortisone only prolongs the inevitable. 2008 I had four injections in my left elbow. It was a good short term fix, but eventually a simple movement brought the pain back. Surgery fixed the issue and I have had no issues with the left elbow since. 2021 I developed tennis elbow in my right elbow...

New Balance Fresh Foam X CT-Rally

I slipped using non-clay specific shoes, didn't go down but slightly tweaked my back. I now run one pair of hard court shoes (I play much less on hard surfaces) and keep two pair of clay specific shoes for summer use. If you go down or hurt something trying not to go down, the $125 more or less...

New Balance Fresh Foam X CT-Rally

Tried mine on clay, found them to be somewhat lacking in traction. Otherwise I am very satisfied with them on hard courts.

    Hydrogen Sports PROTON

I have run the Diadem Pressure less balls exclusively for two years. They feed well with no issues, bounce is close if not exactly like a regular ball, and they are very durable.

5 months with Tennis Elbow so far; help :-(

I had surgery on my right elbow about 2 years ago, lateral epicondylitis repair (Tennis Elbow), bone spur removed on the backside of the elbow (old injury), and Carpal Tunnel Release. No tennis for two months during recovery. At two months per my surgeon, I went back to light hitting (2-3 short...

    Ruptured Right Achilles Tendon

No rupture here but a damaged right tendon due to age (66) and bone spur on the back of the heel. Surgery on 1/23/23, surgeon shortened the damaged tendon by 2", chiseled/ground off the bone spur and then went about 10" above the ankle and lengthened "cut" the calf muscle to compensate. Surgeon...

Look on the bottom, underneath of the Proton. Your screw looks like one which holds the bottom cover on, should be about 10 screws total.

    Your best Pressureless balls

I have used Diadem pressureless for the last two years (3-5 times per week) in my Proton and find they wear well and have a consistent bounce. I will throw a can of used balls (20-24 games) in the hopper and can tell no difference in bounce with the Diadem balls which are 3-4 months old.

Best tennis shoes for plantar fasciitis (heel pain).

Have you had an x-ray and looked for a bone spur? I had an Achilles Bone Spur (back of heel not underside of heel) removed on Monday. If it's PF then all of the above is positive advise, if it's a spur, then other solutions should be looked at.

    Knee Brace Recommendation Needed Please...

Dick's Sporting Goods sells the Shock Doctor line of braces. I use the knee support with dual hinges (#872). I don't notice it while playing, it doesn't slow me down and is very comfortable. There are usually several sizes on the shelf so you can test for size before you buy. Level 3 is a little...

    Super glue to heal cuts?

I have, thank you. Perhaps I should have been more specific. I had no external stitches, only a type/form of adhesive holding the skin together over my sternum. Type of adhesive unknown. Titanium wires were/are in place holding my sternum together. The bone has since grown back together, but the...

    Super glue to heal cuts?

Try some Liquid Bandage or New Skin, sold in most drug stores. Goes on like super glue but is designed to act as a (medical) bandage. Works well for what your issues are as I have the same issues with skin cracking/splitting. I had Open Heart Surgery and they "glued" my 15" skin incision...
