Back to tennis, need a new racquet

the new blade sounds kinda nice too but i find 98” much harder to use than 100” (shank too much = frame too small) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back to tennis, need a new racquet

vcore pro 100, u get the forgiveness of a 100 sq in frame and the control of a thin beamed frame...I added lead at 10 and 2 to boost the power level since VCP line is more control oriented...never been happier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

*NEW* Poly/Poly Hybrid thread (reviews and recipes)

yeah, if u enjoy the feel of those strings, i wouldnt see why it wouldnt work well. They are just too harsh for my arm because Im a 4.0+ hard hitting baseline basher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

An idea... Does this make sense to anyone else?

it does have a semi slick coating but it is not as slick as a poly tour fire. Still slick enough imo but it does wear off slowly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Genesis Magic & Gut Hybrid Set

yeah i hated NGW’s low tier natural gut but their v5+ version looks coated and seems on par with premium gut...i purchased a pack but have yet to try it because it is too hot/humid outside so waiting for winter season to use indoors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

*NEW* Poly/Poly Hybrid thread (reviews and recipes)

it really depends on the racquet you use and what you’re trying to achieve out of your setup. For more open patterns, maybe use thicker string because strings will break faster. If not string breaker, then 17g should be fine. Usually thinner gauge has better playability but worse tension...

*NEW* Poly/Poly Hybrid thread (reviews and recipes)

tourna BHS7T // SPPP both 17g should be good, id string BHS7T a few lbs tighter than what u normally string poly at and SPPP at low to mid 50s but string crosses few lbs less than mains. probably 55/53 and if it feels too tight then let it loosen up for few days/weeks til u like it and bump the...

Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

yeah BHS7T 17g strung lower mid 50s is great. It has the shape/spin of diadem solstice power and the comfort of cyclone tour. I get good spin/power/comfort/playability duration/tension maintenance, what more could u want from a string? My only gripe is that in my setup (BHS7T//SPPP) I sometimes...

    Does more pocketing always=more comfort?

open string patterns(16x19 16x20 16x18) vs closed (18x20) open setup pockets the ball more and generates better power/spin/comfort but lesser control than a 18x20 pattern that is stiffer stringbed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Volkl cyclone vs Solinco Hyper G

try signum pro poly plasma as a cross, i absolutely love the feel of it as a cross Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Does more pocketing always=more comfort?

poly is controlled at 45 lbs because it is stiff string. low tension = more power, less control. poly with too much pocketing can get out of control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ZX and NatGut Hybrid. Which goes in mains vs. cross ?

agree with above, nat gut would be better paired with low powered poly cross...it’s all about finding the setup that has the best balance...nat gut zx seems like itd be too powerful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Strings help needed please!

nope. Ive tried 17L, 16L and they all feel about the same in crosses. I think 17g would be optimal but I went 16L cuz I spotted a reel for discount on the bay. ~$50 to string 33 frames’ worth of crosses aint too bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Strings help needed please!

prince premier touch 15L has gut like qualities, it has the same outer texture similar to gut for gripping the ball. Velocity plays like a more round poly so there’s not as much bite on the ball but it has slick outer coating that allows for good snapback. A lot of people swear by PPC (prince...

    Strings help needed please!

poly is more for people that break strings and dont want to restring that often. However, if you dont break strings, go for multi and/or gut mains for comfort and your arm will thank you later. Usually, the arm pain from poly is not instant...it is after x amount of mishits that the jarring...

playability duration on these two strings is excellent...among the best. You’ll probably break the strings before they die. They lose tension very slowly in predictably small increments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tourna big hitter silver 7 tour is a comfortable spin friendly poly that also provides good power/feel...17 gauge strung at 52-54 lbs would probably work best. I like to do poly/poly hybrid with shaped poly in mains and smooth round poly in the cross. Personally, signum pro poly plasma is my...

Best non poly you've ever tried? Need advice

‘Better’ is subjective. Like they say, ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’...Id say that hyperG has better spin, lower powered while Xperience provides more comfort/power (less control) so it really depends what you’re looking for in a string. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
