What is going on with that finishing knot on the top right? That is a stringing abomination.

I've seen them on the bay and a few sites in the UK and EU. $25-$30 seems a bit much for 1 set of pallets

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Have there been any changes to Head pallets recently? The Prestige Tour that I completely forgot I bought is a 4 1/2 so I need to size it down. I seem to remember preferring the TK82s to the regular TK82. If anyone has a set of L3 TK82s, let me know!

Generally speaking, I'd say leather is going to be the best for bevel feel. But the Feather Thin did give great bevel feel with just the right amount of cushion for me.

I wasn't struggling with it. I think because I already have a solid brush motion, I just use that and let the power/plow of the frame handle the rest. It works for me. If you're still using a flatter swing, which iirc was more your style, I could see where it would be problematic for you.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I'd agree with that. Like the old UT, the UP definitely feels like it needs some weight for stability and plow. But it definitely does not have the same response as the BP. The BP is is just solid as solid can be. It's not stiff, but it is firmer than the UP. But it's also plush and plowy in...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I hit the UP last night and it's just not the same as the BP. It's absolutely glorious in terms of feel. If you UP fans haven't used gut/poly in yours, you should. But the BP continues to show itself for the absolute monster it is from all parts of the court.

To hell if it's impractical or hard to use. You always need a 6.1 (or 3) in the bag

    Diary of a Racketaholic

The 100D is great but it didn't quite have the swing feel I was looking for. Compared to the P97, it didn't feel as whippy but I also didn't get any added punch or drive for it. The other thing is that I am apparently just not an 18m guy anymore. It's crazy considering how dedicated I was to...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I'm all aboard the BP train. Sold and shipped the Percepts yesterday. I just got the UP back from the stringer (I can't wait to have a machine again). As gorgeous as it is, I find myself asking how it is supposed to be better than the BP. I compleyely forgot about the Prestige I bought until it...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

On another note, I think I am definitely done with full poly setups. After initially going gut/poly in the percepts and the continued use in the BP and a few other frames, it's just so hard to beat how well these setups play. Yes, it's expensive but I would say the benefits are worth the...

That's what I'm questioning for myself. Is it worth it to pay a higher price at TW but get the matching or order with the discount from Wilson and risk the QC lottery.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

The v8 BP16 is currently winning me over at the moment. Loaded up with lux gut and element rough. It's so good. If there's not a notable difference between the v8 and v9 though, I'll get the v9 through TW for the matching. The Percept is still great in it's own right but the BP is giving me...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Tonight may have been the beginning of the end of the Percept love affair. The BP stormed in on a mission tonight to absolutely destroy the happy racquet monogamy I had once relished. With the string bed settled, the BP just ate it all. Attacking balls of the ground with confidence and ease...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

The PS97 is a great stick but too much for a lot on players. There is that PS magic that no other frame can replicate. As far as Sasha v. Carlitos, I'm going Zverev on this one. He seems to have more confidence right now and that beast of a backhand needs a slam title.

New machine or stay the course?

I just watched a few videos of @Herb doing his thing on the Baiardo and then a few videos comparing the the Baiardo and the Baiardo L. Looking at how the Baiardo functions, I don't see any reason I should exclude it from consideration. It looks to have a lot of features I would enjoy even...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

There were quite a few out there when I was looking. I got lucky and snagged mine cheap here. Even if I have to put new pallets on it, I'm not mad at all.

New machine or stay the course?

I'm looking at right around an $1100 difference between the 850 and the Baiardo. That's assuming the Baiardo is available when I get to order at the beginning of July. I'm no closer to a decision. Every time I think I've decided, I change my mind.

Good suggeations. That IG looks a little chonky for my tastes but the 21 might be a good option. I'm also wondering about the feel since I am using gut/poly in most of my frames right now. The only frame getting full poly is the TF40.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Can anyone give me a reason not to try the 23 Prestige Tour? After recent acquisitions, the current bag lineup has 2 P97, VCP97, v8 BP16, v4 UP16, TF40, and the old n6.1. Seems odd not to have a Head frame in there too.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

If it were a DelPo owned stick, I wouldn't be selling it. Lol. Would love to have one of his for my collection someday. He's one of the only ones I'd shell out for. Mine is a retail n6.1 with a DelPo style setup on it. 384g and 350ish SW iirc.
