    What level are these players?

    What make them not 5.0?

    What level are these players?

They don’t have modern ATP forehands. 4.0? 4.5?

Can someone explain how, biomechanically, hitting up on the serve generates more speed than swinging forward?

@SystemicAnomaly do you think this has anything to do with the big L position prior to contact? Also can you elaborate on how to achieve the big L position (actively or passively)?

Serve throwing motion - up or forward?

Can you someone explain how, biomecanically, hitting up on the serve generates more speed than swinging forward?

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

@user92626 @Jonesy Here’s the thread where I post the videos of me playing a while ago: https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/what-ntrp-are-these-2.655009/

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

I understand. I'll admit that you might be right. However, I'm just questioning the inconsistency in how people on this forum evaluate a player's level. And ultimately it’s not about who’s right or wrong, I simply want to understand and learn what essential factors are needed to judge someone's...

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

Also what’s funnier is that I posted videos of me playing matches a while ago and most people here on TT think I’m a 4.0-4.5. Yet the tall guy bageled me every time we play. So clearly there’s something missing in the way we judge a player’s level

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

Ok if that other guy isn’t 4.5, he’s at least 4.0 right? And he consistently loses to the tall guy (6-0 at worst, 6-2 at best). Isn’t that reasonable to say tall guy is 4.5 or at least close to it? (And no the other guy does have reliable serves with strong 2nd serves as well)

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

So to judge someone’s level based on their “technique” is insufficient imo

What are the levels of these 2? (Full set video)

@coolvinny @FuzzyYellowBalls and others, let me tell you this. Last year there was a guy with very solid technique (extremely good 1st and 2nd serves, subperb forehand, good backhand) who appeared to be a clear 4.5. He faced the tall guy in the final. Final score? He lost 2-6 1-6 to the tall guy...

I’m positive I can beat Curious. And I got crushed 0-6 by the tall guy in the video.

what makes you all think they’re 4.0 and not 4.5?

    You’re joking right? So 3.5?

Singles strategy for someone with great/aggressive slice BH, good serve but weak FH?

This guy: - good and consistent groundstrokes on both sides, especially his FH - any short balls will be punished by this guy - good volleys, smash and good at the net in general - his serves aren’t too big but big enough to not let me blast my shot - can disguise and hit dropshots pretty well -...

Singles strategy for someone with great/aggressive slice BH, good serve but weak FH?

Gotcha. But my competitive match with him is Sunday. Regarding my FH, it’s an interesting case. Some days I can hit pretty good FHs but most days my FHs feel inconsistent. To be more specific, I can’t hurt my opponent with my FH. If I try to flat it out, usually it goes long or to the net. If...

Singles strategy for someone with great/aggressive slice BH, good serve but weak FH?

He will most likely lob when he sees me run to net lol

Singles strategy for someone with great/aggressive slice BH, good serve but weak FH?

I thought about it. But my FH slice doesn’t quite have the same accuracy

Singles strategy for someone with great/aggressive slice BH, good serve but weak FH?

Lets say: - my BH slice is a weapon as I can really fast and penetrating slice that stays low with high accuracy (i can hit lots of DTL slice winners) - big first serve and good slice serve - but my FH is inconsistent How should I play against other players to maximize my chances of winning?

How would Alcaraz fare against prime Federer?

Would prime Fed would destroy Alcaraz? The other way around? Tight?
  21. BetaServe

    What was this lol

    Ngl you look like Kyrgios
  22. BetaServe

Does Kyrgios have a 3.0 backhand?

Take a look at his “3.0” backhand on the last point. It looks incredibly easy and somehow 7.0 Di Minaur couldn’t get to it. His backhand is extremely underated

For a guy who plays tennis as a side hustle, it's pretty impressive

I definitely think that he was very tense. He didn’t play as good as usual in the later sets
