    Congrats Team HEAD

Lol what are you talking about? Everyone in this thread knows that serving is not about your physical make-up. It’s all about the racquet. The player is just there so to ensure that the serve is actually legal. Racquet does all the work. That’s common knowledge…. Go team HEAD!

    Congrats Team HEAD

Yes congrats to the head gravity pro! Completely outplayed the technifibre! The Gravity Pro was in a league of its own! What a beast! I’m gunna order one tomorrow, can’t wait to see you all at the AO finals! It’s unbelievable guys, you can buy a 300 dollar racquet and win millions without...

As I said in my post, he used the Dunlop swing weight machine: https://dunlopsports.com/es/products/tennis/accessories/swingweight-machine/ He sent me a video of all three rackets and the recorded swing weight. He’s very meticulous with his tennis stuff. It’s no coincidence that all 3 are 10...

Yep exactly, hence I think TWE unstrung is maybe off by ~10, not sure.

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

Ok riddle me this. When I bought my V7 from TWE, the unstrung specs were: 310.5 grams, 32.5 cm balance, 302 SW. I recently strung it up with tour-bite 17G (1.2mm), no modifications apart from overgrip and dampener. I thought the SW would be between 330-335… Now my V8 blades came with...

Racquet in the middle of a Blade v7 18x20 and Pro Staff v13?

You could try the V8 18x20, but you would need to lead it up so that specs match your V7. They are stiffer than V7 so offer more power at same specs. Mine came in at 65 RA unstrung whilst my V7 was 61 RA unstrung.

    Tecnifibre TF X1 300

ok thanks! Yeah. I guess I‘m afraid of the stiffness getting to you without you knowing, if you know what I mean. Like a racket doesn’t have to feel stiff for your arm to still get destroyed by the stiffness. It just makes it more dangerous as you are not aware it’s happening. Hence I wanted...

    Tecnifibre TF X1 300

So, can anyone who plays this comment on arm friendliness? Tennisnerd said it was similar to Clash with arm comfort but the unstrung RA is 71 so I find that really really hard to believe....

    Pure Aero VS customization

Not to mention more arm-friendly aswell :D

J just add to 12 and see how it plays. If you don’t like it then add double the weight to 3 and 9. Adding to 3 and 9 will also increase power due to the higher SW.

Extreme Tour, better than the Blade?

why don’t you try tennis only? That’s the Australian branch of TW & TWE. Maybe they have it there?

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

It's not a very stable frame in stock form due to the low SW. You need to weight it up and then it plays like a more comfortable 2013/2015, IMO. It's a brilliant stick and for those who wanted something similar to older generations but a tad more arm friendly, it's the one. However, In stock...

    Head Radical MP - Wowza!

You could try using a thinner string. If you are using Poly then I would recommend 1.15 or 1.20 mm. If you are using 1.20 mm and still have pain, go 1.15 mm. String thickness makes a huge difference. If you aren't a string breaker you cold even go down to 1.10 mm.

Anyone Hit With TF40, Vcore Pro 97D, Gravity Pro, and Prince TT 100P?

Thats why I said if OP wants to try it he/she should lead it up so that the SW gets to 330+. In stock form it is not a Blade at all

Anyone Hit With TF40, Vcore Pro 97D, Gravity Pro, and Prince TT 100P?

The V8 is also amazing, but it needs some lead to up the SW to ~330+. Once that’s done it really is sublime. Plays like a more comfortable 2013/2015 IMO. Horrible in stock form because the SW is usually below 320 (thanks Wilson QC).

Anyone Hit With TF40, Vcore Pro 97D, Gravity Pro, and Prince TT 100P?

Ahh fair enough. I wouldn’t judge the v7‘s on the 16x19, which I also hit with and hated. 18x20 was a completely different beast. Amazing racket. I preferred it much more than the options you have listed but yeah everyone is different!! I also liked the Gravity Pro but shared your thoughts in...

None of the 18x20 Wilson Blade‘s spark your interest? If you‘re looking at TF40/97D/GPro, you should also try a blade

    Wilson Blade 7.0 16x19 vs Baobolat Strike 98 16x19

Pure strike 16x19 is definitely my pick over the 16x19 Blade v7. But blade 18x20 v7 is better than both IMO. You could also look at blade v8 16x19, lots of posters have said that it’s a big improvement over the v7 16x19. Tbh I don’t find it low powered at all… I guess it depends where you hit...

    From Tennispro for v8 18m: Weight Swingweight Balance 1) 306.7 g 284.5 sw 31.7 cm 2) 304.6 g 283 sw 31.7 cm 3) 307.3 g 286 sw 31.9 cm 4) 307.8 g 293 sw 32 cm 5) 306 g 281 sw 31.45 cm I decided to take the (1) and (2) from TWE and will add 3-4 grams at 12 to bring it to v7 specs. I think with...

Yeah in Europe they don't have that service. When you pay 20€ for the measure service, they choose 6 rackets at random and just measure the specs. Unfortunately those 6 were the last they have in my size of the V8 18x20, but its no big deal. With options 1 and 2, only 3-4 grams of lead at 12...

My wife needs a New Racket - I suspect you fine people can get me some good options.

Review is up: https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/learning_center/racquet_reviews/20BV8Sreview.html I’m really confused about the flex rating. They are saying 60, with the v7 being 62 in their review. I’m not sure if those are strung or unstrung specs because the v8s were coming in at 65/66...

Yeah I'll think about it. I mean I have since added weight to the handle of my V7 (I think 4/5 grams) to make it more headlight for better maneuverability. But yeah, I will have to see.

    Yes that’s what I’ll ask them. For reference my v7 18m unstrung was: SW - 302 Balance -32.5 cm Weight - 310.5 g Stiffness - 61 RA

TWE. Yes it’s similar to V5. To be honest I’m very happy with the stiffness. It will definitely provide more power similar to V5. My issue is the SW. Horrible.

So 6 measured V8 18x20. Not happy with that swingwright. Will ask them to measure 6 more or see if they have some sort of racket modification service. Would like a SW between 298 & 303. If they can’t do that I will stick to V7. Racket Weight Swingweight Balance Stiffness 1 307,1 289 32,2...

Amazing. Thanks a bunch :giggle: I wish we could pin or highlight this post (and your previous one too). I’m assuming there are a lot of people who wonder exactly how v7 and v8 differ when spec’d similar, and this describes it perfectly. Comparisons between under-spec’d v8’s and on-spec v7’s...
