Yes, I am back using the Phantom 100P exclusively. The control, feel, comfort and spin are top notch !

Do you like the Prince Phantoms and which one?

The feel of the Phantom 100P is really addictive ! You can really feel the tremendous ball pocketing that you don't get with stiff wide frames. I took a little time off using the Phantom 100P but after using the Dunlop CX 200 OS I realize that I am losing the precision and the feel. Even though...

Interesting phenomenon...increasing SW (lead @ 12) decreases stability?

If a racquet becomes unwieldy due to a higher swingweight more mishits will occur IMO. I do notice better stability when weight is added at 3 and 9 versus 12.

40+ players out there: Do you go bigger (head size) or stick with your good ol' small head stick?

The Dunlop CX 200 OS is a fantastic racquet that is in between a tweener and player's frame. I added 3 grams of lead total at 3 and 9, 1 gram at 12 along with the 3 g on the butt of the handle. I get easy depth and spin along with good control. The beam width is only 21.5 mm. There is alot of...

CUSTOMIZATION ALERT: A Platform Racquet Overlooked?

The Dunlop CX 200 OS is a thin beam 105 sq in frame that is 11 ounces strung and a stock swingweight of 313. This is a great platform racquet for players 4.0 and above. I found adding a few grams at 3 and 9 and counter balancing to the handle brought this racquet alive. There is a nice balance...

    What's your swingweight sweetspot?

Some where between 325-330 depending on the balance and static weight. I tend to prefer frames that are in the 11.5 ounce range.

    Prince Official - Racquets

I totally agree with you! I really appreciate the feel and comfort of Phantom 100P. It can pack some pop due to healthy swingweight.

Why so few players OS rackets?

The control is excellent even with a synthetic string. The pattern gets quite dense towards the middle of the string bed. The 200 OS needs weight as in stock form it's too light IMO. I customized mine to my specs with 3 grams total at 3 and 9, 1 gram at 12 and 5 grams on the butt of the handle...

Why so few players OS rackets?

The Dunlop CX 200 OS is a great all around players racquet that is very user/arm friendly. There is plenty of room for customization for stronger players 4.0 and above. I can't say enough good things about this frame and have 4 of them. My only one knock is that this racquet eats strings quickly...

    Dunlop CX 200 - what a gem!

The CX 200 OS is a real sleeper of a racquet. With a bit of customization it's a really great all around racquet that does everything well. The balance of power and control for a 105 is quite good . A medium pace swing gets easy depth and spin. The comfort and feel are top notch. My only real...

Do you like the Prince Phantoms and which one?

The Phantom 100P is a really solid racquet with great feel, control, stability, comfort and plow through. It has polarized feel and very large sweet spot that is very forgiving. I can use a basic synthetic string like Gosen Micro 16 and get nice pop along with maintaining good control. The high...

    Prince Official - Racquets

Prince has a hit a home run with the Phantom line! I do agree Prince is lacking in the marketing area. The Phantom 100P has great feel, comfort, plow and control. This makes up for not getting free power.

Prince Phantom Pro 100p vs Prince Phantom 100p

Sorry to hear that! Best of luck ! Another 10 grams on the 100P is going to a monster of stick with loads of plow.

Which version do you like best and why?

Prince Phantom Pro 100p vs Prince Phantom 100p

I am back on the Phantom 100P kick after using the Dunlop 200 CX OS for almost a year. The 200 CX is eating strings too quickly and required too much customization. The Phantom 100P is one of the best players 100 sq inch frames that doesn't need customization to due to the healthy stock...

    Prince Official - Racquets

I bought 2 recently from TW. I added 2 grams total of lead at 2 and 10 along with 2 grams on the butt of the handle with my Wilson Contour grip. I strung both of them with Gosen Micro 16 at 55lbs. I would say that Diablo MP Tour is a lowered power frame but with a synthetic string and the added...

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Diablo MP Tour? I bought 2 of them recently and started a new thread. I was quite impressed overall!

    Prince Diablo Tour Midplus

The more time I have spent with the Diablo MP Tour, the more I realize that it is a super classic frame! When I play more aggressive with the flatter style of game, this racquet really shines! It's easy to serve with and generate good racquet head speed with. While the Phantom 100P might have a...

    Prince Diablo Tour Midplus

I have to agree that if you are playing with a thin beam racquet it needs to have mass for the plow and stability. The Phantom 100P pretty much has this right out of the box with not much if any customization needed. I also agree that the Phantom line is underrated! The Phantom 100P has a bigger...

    Prince Diablo Tour Midplus

I had the opportunity to hit with the Diablo Tour MP for one good session. I changed the stock grip to a Wilson Contour grip and added 2 grams total at 10/2 along with 2 grams on the butt to maintain the very headlight balance. After the customization, the racquet weighed 332 grams strung. I...

    Prince Diablo Tour Midplus

Very true, however with extra 1/4 length and customizing with some lead to get to the Phantom 100P specs, this could be a difference in overall playability. The reason for the difference in comfort and stability has to do with the differences in SW. The Diablo Tour MP has stock SW of 317 versus...

    Prince Diablo Tour Midplus

TW has recently offered this frame for sale. I am wondering if anyone who has purchased one what your thoughts are? How does the Diablo MP compare to the the other 100 sq inch frames in the Phantom line? Thanks for your feedback!

    Prince Official - Racquets

I am not huge fan of poly anymore but recently have been using Tier One Ghost Wire in a 17 gauge and its a pretty soft poly with nice feel. Otherwise, Gosen Micro 16 has been my goat string and is not the same as the Tech Gut version. I used the Gosen Micro 16 as a full bed in the Phantom 100P...

    Prince Official - Racquets

Yes, a full poly around 50lbs would be a good place to start on the tension. NRG is a good string, however you will sacrifice control. Gosen Micro 16 or 17 would also be a great cross string as the tension will hold well and allow the racquet to play more forgiving then playing with a full bed...

    Prince Official - Racquets

The Diablo Tour Midplus looks like an interesting frame with the extended length and sub 320 SW. With a little customization at 3,9 and 12, this frame could be a real beast!

    Prince Official - Racquets

I played with the Phantom 100P for a while and for a 16 x 18 string pattern the control is quite good. I would eliminate using gut as a hybrid string and that should solve your problems with control. This frame doesn't play well if you string it too tight due to the very thin beam. Maybe just...

    Angell TC95

Yes, I did customize the K7 Red with 3 grams total at 3 and 9 along counter balancing at the handle. I have not played with the K7 Lime. I no longer play with the K7 Red.
  28. tennis347

    Prince Phantom 100X 305

I would say that they are both comparable in comfort. There's better spin potential with the K7 Red and the control is pretty close. I felt that the K7 Red had a more predictable feel.

BB London vs. Volkl C10 Pro

Assuming both frames were about the same weight and balance, the London plays a little crisper, the control is pretty close with maybe a slight edge to the C10 Pro. The London has a bit better spin potential. The power will be a bit higher with the London due to the higher stiffness. Both are...

    300 g arm friendly recommendation for 49 y.o. Intermediate

I played with the Phantom 100P for over a year and while it's very arm friendly it's a very demanding frame due to the 330 SW. It's a great racquet but you need to be in great physical shape and be able to generate your own power. I made a complete switch to the Dunlop CX 200 OS and have never...
