    Why is defense so berated?

I like playing against pushers. Although frustrating at times, I think playing against them is the best way to pinpoint the flaws in one's game. Pushers are rarely given credit for their ability to unsettle their opponents. Usually, no matter how well a pusher has employed their tactic to...

    Olympics 2012

Yeah, Bolt doesn't seem to be very interested in breaking those Berlin records right now. But that would probably change, should the records be broken by someone else, e.g. Blake. Lewis, on the other hand, didn't seem to care that much about having the 200m record in the first place. He had a...

    Olympics 2012

I agree. Some other athletes, despite being far less dominant in their respective disciplines, are getting much more praise than David. His run last night was one of, if not the greatest performance I've seen during these Games. Right up there with Bolt's heroics. I used to think it was...

Olympics 2012 Men's Singles Final: [1] Roger Federer vs [3] Andy Murray

Huh! Being a Fed fan, this has so far been one of the most painful matches ever for me to watch. On the other hand, it's really nice to see Murray constantly improving his game, and having faith in himself, despite the myriad of past disappointments.

    Olympics 2012

Badminton world no. 2, Lee Chong Wei, dropped a set to no. 45 Ville Lång. Lång played the match of his life, but it's safe to say that Lee's not going to grab gold if he continues to play like this.

    The "Cheap Shoes" Club!!!!

Wow, some really good deals you have found there in the US. Real ripoffs here in northern Europe. :) The last time I bought shoes from a local store, I had to pay a price that equalled $150 (with the exchange rate of the time) for a pair of Vapor VIs, even though they were on clearance. Retail...

Watching Bartoli right now, what a spare tire.

She's supposedly dedicated her life to be as competitive in tennis as possible, but doesn't even bother doing the most basic things, such as keeping the extra weight off? Lol. Or maybe she's just has some sort of a metabolism disorder that cannot be treated.. I Don't remember her always having...

Most Underrated Player In Men's Top 100?

Haas is pretty underrated, considering he's still winning titles at age 34 by beating Wimbledon legend Fed on grass. Though it does seem that he was playing in a rather weak era during the most of his prime. He reached no. 2 with just one Grand Slam SF, one Masters title, and 2 lesser titles.

Robin Soderling - officially unranked. When will he return?

It's such a pity. He was playing some of the best tennis of his life.. Krya på dig, Robin!

Had some bull tenderloin steak seasoned with crushed basalt crystals the other night. The week of curious delicacies shall now continue with fish and chips covered in extra dark Lindt 99% Excellence. Loving the national treats of RogiLand.

Is it weird that you can win a match 0-6,0-6,7-6,7-6,7-6?

It's cool, as long as the "winner with less points" doesn't win the crucial points because of pure luck...

    Triple Bagel

Impressive, though Bram obviously isn't much of a player. Saw him play once in 2008, he got thrashed 6-1 6-3 6-3 by a then 17-year-old Junior World no. 4.

David Ferrer has a legitimate chance

I think that it's possible for him to beat Murray, since he's not an especially good match-up for Andy. However, I wouldn't fancy his chances that much at this stage of a grand slam.

All Swiss QF: Roger Federer[2] vs Stanislas Wawrinka[19]

Wouldn't have expected a match as one-sided as this... It must have been tough for Wawrinka to notice that he was being crushed by an opponent who was playing like it was an exhibition match. Maybe this was a reason for his mental problems. Wawrinka must really have thought that he could...
