Sounds like a nice setup! Do you know the SW? Did you ever try it stock without the lead at 2 and 10? Its already quite a beefy frame and this weight could be slowing down the serve. You could even put that weight into the butt to alter the balance and keep the static weight similar

I have the BP 16/19 v7 with SW340, strung. I ordered a 2nd to match and it came at SW320 unstrung, which would be roughly SW350 strung. Too much for me. I didn't bother to string and have kept in new in packaging I'm considering ordering another 1 or 2 in the hope of getting a closer match to...

I put 6 grams of lead tape under the bumper, from around 10.30 to 1.30. Then added a wilson leather grip. Feels good to me, but I didn't try other setups

I have the same issue. I have 2x very closely matched UP 16/19 but 1x has the ping-y sound. Quite annoying. I'm going to ask my stringer if he has any ideas on the cause

Not great for those overseas either, who use a forwarder. I have to try and sell off the ones I don't want (usually at a disc.) and eat the shipping/customs costs. Expensive process, when Wilson could just ensure they're in a specific g/sw/bal range

Thanks. I have a BP 16/19 v7 with SW339. I was comparing to the UP 16/19. Enjoyed both, but I wanted a matching pair so I could settle into either. I ordered a 2nd of each, unstrung the BP came at 320SW (likely 10SW more than my 1st) and the UP came in almost identical to my 1st. Both are good...

If I swap out the Wilson Pro Performance (stock grip) for Wilson Leather, it adds 4-5 grams. I'm a grip size 4 1/2. I use almost all of the Leather grip, trim the end slightly

I have one unstrung/plastic on handle that's 312g, 320.5sw & 32.9cm (my #2). I wasn't planning to put it in play as my #1 I purchased strung is 329.5g, 339.5sw & 32.9cm (wilson leather, no weight added, no OG). My guestimate was that #2 would come in closer to 350sw, would you all agree on that...

Impact of stringing on swing weight

Thanks again for the responses My game is definitely not sensitive enough to feel the difference! I'm of course very happy to have a matched pair of Ultra Pro 16/19's. I'm only asking to get a better understanding of racquet customization/measurement etc. I put in quite a bit of research time...

Impact of stringing on swing weight

Thanks all. The racquets are same model, same length, same string pattern etc. I'm leaning towards this being some type of variability in measuring. They were measured on different days, different staff member etc. I might be best to get them both remeasured at the same time

Impact of stringing on swing weight

Thanks String was the same combo (alu power/nxt hybrid) in both and added 14.9g and 14.7g respectively - so seems the weight of the string v close SW was done on a yonex precision scan. Not sure if the reading is slightly different depending on how much of a flick you give the racquet to start?

Wilson Pro Labs - Grip Sizes

Thanks for the responses I agree that the handle molds vary in feel and taper as they near the throat of the racquet. I have a grip size 4 (4 1/2) in the Wilson Pro Labs 6.1 95, Blade Pro 16/19 & Ultra Pro 16/19. Enjoying comparing these 3x frames I found the grips to feel quite different across the 3x models. 6.1 95 is the thinnest. BP feels average in thickness but some taper in the top hand (2HBH). UP is...
