Head speed pro grommet/frame question. Suspicious sunken in string into frame.

but it’s not normal behavior on a fairly new racquet? (360+ version) I’ve never come across it in any racquet I have ever owned.

Head speed pro grommet/frame question. Suspicious sunken in string into frame.

Could very well be. You don’t think the frame itself have caved in a bit? Looks suspicious. Shouldn’t happen on a new frame? Since I didn’t see it unstrung I can’t tell.

Head speed pro grommet/frame question. Suspicious sunken in string into frame.

My stringer is excellent so no rookie. And bought the racquets second hand so no warranty.

Head speed pro grommet/frame question. Suspicious sunken in string into frame.

My stringer told me today that one of my Head speed pro looked suspicious in the most outer of the mains in the bottom part. Looks like the string has eaten a bit of the frame but not sure. Could be grommets that have given up between string and frame or what? Or is the frame on it’s way out...

Official Head Graphene Speed Pro Club

Switched from Volkl Super G 10 to the 2020 speed pro. It’s a swiss army knife. Even my ohb is terriffic. It does what a good racquet should do imo. I don’t even think of what im holding in my hand. I havent looked at another racket for two months now. My bother with volkl was inconsistent string...

Why did Edberg drop off so quickly from being a real contender starting in 93/94, particularly 94

Yeah. Swedes have short careers. We all go on retirement at 32 and let the rest of the EU pay for it.

Head size might not be correct

It is good to be back! Thanks! Missed the nerdiness and tongue in cheek comments! Yes there is a slight difference between super g and vsense 10 in headsize and feel. The vsense is a scalpel and super g very forgiving. I alternate effortlessly between them. Mostly strings and tensions now im...

Head size might not be correct

Put the smaller of the two under and my racquet on top. And measure tape of course. This on various points. Not that scientific but enough to see what’s what. My SG10 is a supposedly 98” but i always thought it played much bigger. My Vsense 10 is however more correct if compared to other 98”s...

Yes. But how will you know it unless you whip out the ruler and do some measurements…

Head size might not be correct

Yup. What the title says. Not only the Head PT57A that was more like 95” instead of stated 98”. When i got into my local tennis shop for stringing I was curious about how headsizes compared. Turns out my Volkl Super G 10-295 has a bigger head than Speed 100” and almost as big as a Pure Drive...

That RT is the best looking racquet I’ve seen!

Low, low tensions. 30lbs feels great. 20lbs pretty good, too

Trying out 38 lbs with 1.25 kirshbaum proline rough in my Volkl super G 10 now. Feels great for arm comfort despite the stiffer poly. Might bump up the tension since the Super G is really a 100 sq inch frame.

    Favorite stings in 93" 18x20 12+oz?

Well. My radical tour is 95” and close enough. ;) I like 1.15 mm Kirshbaum Proline 2 at 20 kg. Maybe 19 kg in a 93”. Stiffer poly at lower tensions works great for me. Balls don’t fly and it feels both accurate and plush. Hard to describe.

Intuitive Tennis - too heavy racquets responsible for tennis elbow?

exactly. If you arm the heavy racquet it will hurt. No matter the RA. Finding the right weight and balance for your style is important. :)

I’d go for the C10 pro. At least try it. It’s plush and rock solid!

Update. Was at my local tennis shop and i thought my Super g 10 looked big in comparison to the racquets on the wall. We compared. Headsize was slightly bigger than head speed 100 sq inch. And almost the same size as a pure drive. Way larger than radical 98”. Super G 10 is NOT a 98”. Its a 100”

I actually have thought of going up to 100. The super g is a big 98. Almost a 10 mm wider than new volkl 98’s. That’s why i was thinking of that one. But curious about the red and lime also. And custom 100/101

No post Super G 10 feels remotely like the allmighty plush Super G10-325. I would go for the C10 pro. It is a smidge heavier but plush and rock solid. And closest to the Super G 10 you have.

Hi guys! Using the Volkl Super G 10 close to stock with 2 grams at 12 with hyper g at 22 kgs. If I want close to my racquet in feel and performance with the easy playing characteristics which one to buy? K7 Cyan?

Hi! Long time! :) ive seen the Angell k7 red or cyan as they are in that spec range. Im not opposed to a 100 sw in either. Thanks for thetips!

I have been playing with my V-sense 325 with 3 grams at 12 and overgrip. And my head radical tours. Both 12 oz ++ heavy clubs. Now these have a place obviously. But the other day i looked at my Super G 10-295 with one (1!!) gram at 12. Strung with hyper G 17 at 22 kg. Overgrip. Its one thing to...

Ah yes. I took out my head radicals. Strung them. New grommets and grips. They still feel the same after 27 years. However they havent been used as a bar fight tool. I think that can settle your question?
