Maybe what i have experienced is just loss of tension then. Even though they were full poly they moved all over the place when i could tell they were about to snap. I have never actually timed or examined how long my strings last but this time i will.

Or are shorts absolutely mandatory, no exceptions? If full length pants were forbidden I'd be surprised because this is how they used to play before after all.

I think I am a string breaker. They don't last that long if I play hard and swing faster, which is actually how I try to play.

I wonder the same too, and why he has no abs either. You would think with all that HIIT-style running that tennis is, they would all be ripped, but this isn't the case. But you can build super strength without adding little if any muscle at all actually; they call this "wiry strength".

I've seen many practice videos of Federer etc. and sometimes it seems like they hit the ball harder and with less effort than in real matches, and i mean just practice rallies, not even practice sets. Is this maybe just the usually lower, closer angle of the practice videos?
