    Prince Official - Racquets

Videos not up on TW yet, but I think the 6 pack might be my next bag. I love my current Gosen backpack, but cramming in 3 rackets is a little tight.

    Czech Tension Stringer

I was going to say that some "ghosting" or minor markings are not a big deal, but that's some hefty indentation. The string is slipping through when clamped to that degree? What string and tension are you using?

    String off-gassing (Yonex Rexis Feel)

I've definitely experienced off-gassing with strings. Most often its multis and soft synthetic guts. My reel of Genesis Zero Gravity synthetic gut smells, as did my last pack of Prince Premier Control. Pro's Pro Hex Multi (very similar to Dunlop Hexy Fiber) was also stinky, but don't think...

Any more stringing machine upgrades or am I done?

That’s what my wife said when she left me for that witty, successful, handsome guy. Granted I may be the spousal equivalent of an Eagnas dropweight.

    Wise 2086 Issue

Probably just the switch or plug itself which are replaceable without having to buy the entire gripper assembly. Does it work intermittently if you press the button repeatedly or if you wiggle the cable (like getting a pair of old headphones to work)?

I was going to ask if you had glide bars, since that’s not the case with typical fixed clamps.

You mean you do need a starting clamp on a fixed clamp machine?

Why not string and clamp after 3 or 4 strings in?

That wouldn’t be very scientific unless you play with some type of cool rectangular racket.

Are you simply referencing my REVIEW I contributed to the playtest? Kidding aside, it’s cool that some of my thoughts align with the JP reviewers, so I don’t feel like a total poser. @tele, as a user of the 2020 version and the current, I would say comfort levels seem similar when the ball is...

    The perfect cross

@blai212 does Polaris do a good job of softening up the string bed of stiffer poly mains while not making it feel too dead or mushy? Recently tried some MSV Swift to make Hyper G Round a little friendlier on the joints, but I feel like it came at the price of some spin and zip.

    RacquetTune accuracy

Totally anecdotal but when using the generic poly string factor for Hyper G 1.20mm on a Prestige 93, I’m spot on the reference tension of 46lbs right after stringing. Hyper G Round 1.20 on a Prince Phantom I think I was like 1lb under.

Dropweight Stringer: how to string lower than 19 kg?

As @MathieuR said, the weight is two pieces, and held together via Allen screw. Remove the Allen screw and just use part of the weight. What is the range on the “Badminton” portion of the tension bar decal? That will be the tension with just part of the weight.

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: iString Super Soft is the worst string I’ve ever tried. Has no redeeming qualities. It’s just a weirdly mushy dead string bed that offers little in the way of playability. What did you read that influenced this decision? Much better going with a hybrid...

Or maybe even pull tension on the last cross to take out as much slack as possible, even if you’re not going to clamp it. Then proceed to weave and pull tension on the penultimate cross.

Looking for a cheat code string for grinders

That hybrid might work for you as well. But basically because you said you like Hyper G but the balls lands short with topspin; Hyper G Round puts more depth and drive on the ball in my opinion. Also you mentioned liking Poly Tour Pro except it doesn’t have enough spin; Hyper G Round provides...
