this is the key to the pure strikes. It’s unbelievable to me that Babolat are so poor at QC on these that people try them and write them off because of being over spec’d. I actually found 2 slightly under spec and I absolutely love them.

Yea, honestly, I think if you don’t enjoy it then invest your time somewhere else. I like stringing, but only string for myself and wouldn’t want to go beyond that. Gear is awesome, but if you are dreading the pile of rackets to string it’s not gonna be worth the money, at least in my view...

Gotcha. My high school racket was a pure control and it was, and still is, beautiful. Again, just side by side the PJ is noticeably worse/cheaper. Maybe because it’s meant to be more of a pro model. If I had to guess, I bet the specs are more QC’d on the 97.

Just handled a gen 4 97, it feel so much more premium than the 98 and 100's. PJ looks better, more shimmery like the Shift prototype. The orange color is more neon like, way better... The clear grommets look incredible. The black Strike lettering on the throat is better from a design...

Man, what a miss. A Wimby pj would have been awesome. They just need to market the Strikes better and actually make them to correct SW specs and people would start trying them more I think.

Are there any official stringing instructions out there for two piece? Sometimes I can get the crosses tied to cross though the tight grommet, I suppose we are supposed to tie the crosses to the mains? @Babolat Official
