Sure, he didn't beat Novak/Nadal/Murray, but he did beat 2 of the guys that are going to be in the World Tour Finals, and that have given him some trouble lately.
In a way, that says you can't count him out just yet.
Even on fast clay Nadal has an edge. He has won on faster surfaces (Wimbledon, US Open). I think he is still the favorite in any clay event he enters, but he's not invincible, as proven today.
I have discussed with friends that maybe Djokovic needs this streak to end (in Rome, maybe), or maybe all the matches and effort will catch up with him in RG. Rafa still favorite there, but Novak defenitely a threat.
I looked at the score at a glance and thought it was over, for some reason, and that Isner had won.

That happened in a Spanish league match, Pepe from Real Madrid is doing all the kicking. He totally lost it, got suspended for a while.
