Wimby’19 QF: (3) R Nadal vs Sam “I Am The Destroyer” Querrey

God Nadal's been so good about getting depth on his shots this tournament. Rendered Tsonga completely helpless, and it's very effective against Querrey too since he rarely comes in

Wimby’19 QF: (3) R Nadal vs Sam “I Am The Destroyer” Querrey

The wind is affecting him atm. Looking at his footwork right now as he's trying to line a shot up, and he's struggling

Wimby’19 QF: (3) R Nadal vs Sam “I Am The Destroyer” Querrey

Querrey is actually serving very well, even that game he got broken. Nadal is returning crazy well at the moment.

Querrey vs RBA Wimbledon final: would you watch?

Idk why people act like Querrey is so boring to watch. Maybe I can understand if it's against someone like RBA, but Querrey can actually be very Tsonga-like in stepping upto the plate against a big name player, and can start making shots that are otherwise atypical of him. For those who watched...

    2019 Wimbledon 3R: [3.] Rafael Nadal vs. Jo-Willfried Tsonga

Hopping onto the Tsonga bandwagon! I feel like he's got some spunk back, and he's played well this grass season so far! I'm rooting for Tsonga in 4!

Look at the strength of the giant! Dr Ivo comes back a mini break down in the 4th to win the 4th set tiebreak! Crossing fingers for the 5th!

    2019 Wimbledon - Gentlemen singles

Nothing worse or more nerve wracking than having to track the match of your favourite player through live scores and not being able to watch! Dr Ivo takes the tiebreak in the second set, despite Fabbiano putting up better stats. One set a piece now.

    2019 Wimbledon - Gentlemen singles

Just tuning back into the Opelka-Wawrinka match. Liking Stan's return at the moment, putting a little more shove and direction into that block return. First set it was really floating.

    2019 Wimbledon - Gentlemen singles

Surprised by Opelka's touch, considering he can look really rigid at times. Showing some good feel on the volleys and slice backhands.

    2019 Wimbledon - Gentlemen singles

I hope Querrey can play the way he is at the moment throughout the tournament, because this is impressive. Making Thiem look like a giraffe on ice-skates.

What is ONE thing about your favorite player that you genuinely don’t like?

I don't like that Dr Ivo doesn't really kick his return game up until he himself gets broken.

"Coincidental" pairings in tournament draws: patterns, curiosities, matchups

Kohlschreiber and John Isner at USO. Met 3 times, although I believe they've been pitted in the same 1/16 of the draw on 1 or 2 other occasions.

What match inspired your most depressing moment you have had as a tennis fan?

Karlovic losing to Monfils in the Washington 2016 final. Makes his first 500 level final at 37, steps up to serve out the match after holding something like 80 straight services games, gets broken and goes on to lose the match. That hurt

Who has better touch, variety and artistry? Shapovalov or Felix Auger?

From what I've watched of FAA, variety is not something that comes to mind...

2019 Indian Wells R4 - [7] Dominic Thiem vs Ivo Karlovic

    Disappointing performance from Ivo.

2019 Indian Wells R4 - [7] Dominic Thiem vs Ivo Karlovic

Hope Ivo can start finding range on his forehand pretty soon. He's been actually been decent on return so far, despite only winning 2 points, just been missing out when he gets the opportunity. Slice seems to be troubling Thiem.

2019 Indian Wells R4 - [7] Dominic Thiem vs Ivo Karlovic

I knew that Ivo had slightly changed his service motion more recently, but I only just noticed that, when serving from the deuce side, he's starting with his back foot medial to the court like all other players. He used to bring his back foot up from the outside.

2019 Indian Wells R4 - [7] Dominic Thiem vs Ivo Karlovic

Don't know what to expect for this match-up, tbh. Thiem's groundstrokes are extremely accurate, which poses a threat to Ivo at the net. But Thiem will probably not have the luxury of being able to bully Ivo with his groundstrokes, and won't have as much time to really line up and tee-off on his...

Hopefully Raonic, of those 3. Monfils and Thiem are pigeons, and would surely bend over in the final.

Can't wait to watch Dr Ivo dismantle the baseline ball basher, Thiem.

Dr. Ivo was, is and will be the big thing

He's severely under-rated. I feel that most people who say they can't stand to watch him play have just tossed him into the 'servebot' bin and have hardly even bothered watching his matches. Sure, he has a great serve, but when he's playing well, his volleys are excellent. It's awful fun seeing...

Bringing back a ball toss on serve should be a fault

That already does happen -- it's completely open to interpretation, and often times isn't called out. Kyrgios does this all the time. This rule would become a lot more important if there was only one ball toss -- and how it's implemented is pretty ambiguous.

Bringing back a ball toss on serve should be a fault

This is true. But, it gets very annoying when people try to fake you out when they return your serve -- purposely doing things just to throw you off. So, when you have it in the rules that the server has to commit after the ball is tossed, it gives quite a bit of freedom to the returner to mess...
