No, they've been around awhile. They are older guys who mostly played 4.5 tennis until about 3 years ago when they were able to appeal down to 4.0.

Yeah, TR was way off on the top 2 guys on the team I usually play on. One guy was given a 4.1985 end of year rating. He was bumped to 4.5 but was able to appeal back down. The other guy was given a 4.1430 end of year rating and he wasn't bumped up at all.

Ah ok, they might have different rules then. We do have early start leagues down here and as mentioned, in Southern if you play Mens you can play State and Sectionals but not Nationals if you were bumped but already qualified. Tri Level/Combo might have different rules, I don't know.

Agreed. I mean it does happen occasionally but most teams aren't really interested in rescheduling. I do what I can when asked hoping for a pay back sometime in the future.

Technically we are not supposed to in our area. Only reason for rescheduling as noted by our Area is if there is another USTA conflict or inclement weather.

We only have 2 guys under 40 on our 18+ team. It's mainly the same guys as our 40+ team. But being different seasons we typically don't have issues having enough people for a team.

Never buy Wilson balls so I haven't really noticed. Most of the time we play with Propenn or Penn.

Who I hate are the ones that return every out serve followed by "Out...Sorry". Yeah, right. I know sometimes it's hard to not swing but other times either catch the ball or let it go to the fence. Or just be the ass you are and return it without saying anything but "Out".

In our early start leagues here in Atlanta both 18+ and 40+ had fewer teams than normal across the board it looked like. I guess people decided not to play with everything going on.

I'm not sure why really. Maybe because I grew playing on green with red surround. Just seemed off. I think our opponents were mixed up as well. I think they were use to calling a ball out if it landed in the red. Some really bad calls out there last weekend.

We played on some courts this past weekend that were red with green surround. I was not a fan. I prefer the blue court with green surround.
