Kobe only said Novak is his favorite. I don’t remember him ever ranking Nadal last of the 3. In USO 19, Kobe praised Nadal’s game and said he was so excited to finally watch Rafa live, but unfortunately Kokkinakis withdrew.

I’m a fan of both guys but I understand everyone has their preferences. It’s ironic though because the reasons I like Tyson are the same reasons I like Rafa—fast, explosive, and ferocious. Both guys strike fear in their opponents even before the match begins.

USO 2013 was a great win but I actually had Rafa as the favorite for that one too. Rafa dominated the summer warm up tournaments and beat Djokovic on the way in Montreal.

Yes and maybe court positioning and hitting the ball early? Probably a slight edge to Hewitt but I’m sure these two would have at least one exciting five setter. Too bad they didn’t play each other more often.

Fed announced retirement Sep 15, right? Rafa was still in NY on Sep 5. Crazy to think Rafa was at the US Open and already knew about it.

Roddick was my first favorite player. At the time, Roddick was constantly criticized for standing way too far behind the baseline. I feel like Roddick listened to his critics and improved his court positioning, but that it gave him less time to load up on the forehand.
