Playing with a FX500 at the moment (poly tour pro strings). It's a fun racket, very good all round, very playable, and I enjoy the feeling of using it. Main thing for me is the price - it was on sale and cost less than half of what I paid for a Yonex Percept last year.

Personally I was glad to hear of Beckett's experience. Plenty of great rackets to choose from, so I'd prefer not to spend money on companies with founder's who are unnecessarily rude to people. Complete overreaction considering it was just a first impressions video and wasn't exactly a scathing...

Glad to hear it worked! Same here. They feel a bit tighter but not uncomfortable and I don't think I lost any of the feel they had before.

I bought a very cheap flat insole to solve this. Basically a 1-2mm (at most) extra bit of padding that goes under my insole which is thinner than the original one.

That heel slippage looked crazy. Hopefully he was just lacing them loose to exaggerate the issue. Used to play in a pair of clay court Adidas when I was young that looked quite similar to this style. Always thought they were stable and comfy enough.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like it's definitely worth trying the Gel Res then. Raptors were 75% good and really wanted to like them, but seems that they're just not quite right for my feet...

Has anyone tried both Gel Res 9 and Lotto Raptor Hyperpulse 100? Would be interested to hear how the sizing/fit feels between the two. The Lotto's feel slightly too big around the toebox for me so wondering if Gel Res may be a better option. Worst case, I'll just order a pair and try on at home.

I once had some in liquid form from a brand called 'the blessed seed'. Tasted pretty rough at first (pretty sure every brand does) but ended up quite liking the flavour in a strange way. Didn't necessarily see any obvious benefits but no real negatives either. Some people seem to love the stuff...

I haven't tried rev but i've tried polytour pro (strung at 52/52) in this racket. It wasn't bad, but I feel the Toroline gives a softer feel, although the tension was different so it's hard to compare exactly!
