I typically try to really hit my kick serve hard on my first serve, then back off just enough to the point where I have control to get it in. Once I feel I can always get in that 2nd serve I will pull out some flat serves for first serves to switch it up. It works well for me.

I bought leather grips for my racquets then put a white overgrip for a little extra moisture control. :P I like the way it feels much better than my previous black synthetic grips.
